They would probably buy him back and loan him to Milan with an agreement Milan would pay them £15m or something less than what we'd accept. But that's a lot of hassle for a couple of million gain

They cant, he has to be registered in the 1st team squad for next season.

I would like him back for depth, but I think we can do better and won't shed a tear so long as we acquire an adequate replacement

What this proves to me (if the comments are to be taken seriously) is that his work rate isn't the problem. His endurance is why he probably won't make it with Koeman. I highly doubt that he went to Milan and all of the sudden has lungs of steel. He is probably asked to do less which means he has more energy to work on both sides of the ball. Or just maybe he is more motivated at AC Milan? I'd love to see him succeed, but I don't think it will be here.

Don't be fooled by the Italians mate. I think they give their forwards a bit more leeway on work rate than we do.

I managed to catch a bit of the Juventus/Milan game. Del was playing left side of a front 3. In the 15/20 minutes I bothered to watch it, I saw Juve have 3 breaks which finished with Daniel Alves getting in dangerous crosses. On each occasion Del was standing on or around the half way line with his hands on his hips.

He does look dangerous on the attack. Although 1 goal and 3 assists in 10 games is not exactly earth shattering for somebody who is playing as an out and out attacking player. Many on here have crucified Bolasie for similar stats.

Doesn't really sound like he wants to come back from this. He told Marca:

“With me Milan became interested from the first day and did not hesitate.

I had difficulty getting out of Everton. By how they treated me and how they gave me those first few minutes was key. I can improve, but they gave me a lot of confidence.

“I’m very happy for what I’m living in Milan, I’m doing a very good job and I hope to stay here, I want to stay the same, I’m smarter, more regular and I work more matches outside of training.”

Italians thinking that running your behind off is stupid and a needless waste of energy. Often even last year you saw Raneri yell at Vardy for constantly chasing lost causes.

I agree. Didn't perform anywhere near as well for us as we expected.

I just have that sinking feeling that he'll turn into someone of quality.
