I wasn't blaming him mate:)

As for coming back here, he's still contracted to us so unless Milan put an offer in during early summer he'll be back here for pre season Dave. From what I understand there was no buy option included in the loan deal. Not sure who's idea this was or whether one couldn't be written in due to Barcas buy back clause.

Think we'll see him back in the summer though mate, at least for a short while.

That surprises me to an extent. It seems the clubs in that tin pot league always want to loan players for peanuts on the £ with an "option (not an obligation) to buy the player, thinking it somehow sweetens the deal.

Correct. He wasted £27M on an inferior player to Deulofeu. Criminal waste of resources.

I dont see him adding to Lookman, Bolasie and Mirallas, tbh.

Again, that's your opinion. Obviously others thought differently considering they shipped Geri out via loan and kept Bolassie.

It sounded like we pushed for one. Granted, that might work to our benefit, but depending on the fee, I'd think we could do better. He really is a better fit in other leagues and wouldn't be surprised if he pushed to go elsewhere.

If you remember mate it was an absolute saga. On off on again. Went on for well over a week. First we heard they wanted an option and we wouldn't give one, and then the other way around. Then we were arguing over the option price or the loan fee. Then barca were going to exercise their option and Milan loan him from Barca. I don't think I've ever heard so many rumours relating to one 4 month loan deal. Turns out after the event that there was no option according to the Milan President. I can believe that actually because the Barca buy back clause would have obviously created a problem. But who knows.

Ultimately it looks as if Del is a luxury that teams can't afford.
He has moved from Barca, Sevilla and Everton and it will be interesting to see if Milan want to keep him at the end of the season.
At Everton it isn't the current manager alone that has lost faith in him, the previous manager played him all the time up to Christmas and very little after that.

And had the most assists and chances created in the League till that point. Well done Roberto.

Because he got called up to a Spain squad that is the shadow of its former self?

He is alright. He still has an awful lot to prove. If he gets to prove it with us then great, if not I wont be too upset.

Still not too shabby a squad though, is it?

Every one of those players would get a start at Everton.......bar one it appears.

Bring him home, Ronald.

You know it makes sense ;)
