Player Valuation: £6m
Worrying reports in twitter that he may leave. With bolaise injured we need him-we can't be relying on lookman or c. Lewis as regular starting players as its too much of a gamble with the young-uns.
lolActually Dave, unless Koeman repeated word for word exactly what the Dutch scout had said about Depay, then the Express has indeed lied as it is word for word the same.
It cites the Sudnay Mirror as the source for its article - the Sunday Mirror includes the correct quotes from the correct people, the Express omit completely the Scout because it makes the article more sensational.
As for sueing them, oh behave Dave
Have you? How did you "prove" that mate?
Face it: Koeman has a left an evidence trail demonstrating his two-faceness on this player. End of story really. Embarrassing all round, but there it is.
lol
Fanciful.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman BLASTS foul-mouthed Man United signing Memphis Depay
SOUTHAMPTON manager Ronald Koeman has criticised new Manchester United signing Memphis Depay for his foul language and inconsistency.

The Dutch youngster has joined Manchester United in a £25million move from PSV Eindhoven, however, Koeman believes they have overpaid for the unpredictable 21-year-old.
“I think they paid a lot of money," he told the Sunday Mirror.
“Because it is United, where they already spent £200m on players like Angel Di Maria, such a big figure is put in perspective.
“He won’t play every game. I have learnt, while I am here in England, that Dutch players can’t make the jump to the top of the Premier League easily. And young players can’t play 38 games anyway.
“And I see another lack of quality with the Dutch kids, that I have also noticed with other young stars in the Premier League: they don’t communicate! They behave like individuals. Stuck to their smartphones."
The Saints boss has been tracking Depay for the last five years but was unimpressed by his attitude on and off the pitch.
Ronald Koeman has criticised Memphis Depay for his attitude on and off the pitch
It was absolutely disgusting, the foul language that boy used towards his fellow players and towards people in the crowd
He said: “I watched the young Memphis Depay often enough. I was doing scouting work on him when he was playing in the Under-16 side for PSV Eindhoven, and there was this game against FC Twente.
“I always work with a list of five specific qualities: skills, tactics, physique, attitude, personality. I did not get any higher with my average ratings than 5.6 out of 10.
“And you know what brought the rating down most of all? The rating for his personality.
“It is only because of the fact that I could not go any lower than zero out of 10, otherwise I would have rated him well below that.
“It was absolutely disgusting, the foul language that boy used towards his fellow players and towards people in the crowd."
Koeman has admitted that Southampton did try to sign Depay last year, however he knew that once United came knocking, the south-coast side had no chance.

Manchester United new boy Memphis Depay is a major gamble – and comes with a health warning.
And the man tipped to light up Old Trafford next season could also become the Premier League’s next pantomime villain.
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has said that Man United have overpaid for a youngster who will not be able to play every week – and a top Dutch scout has also given a damning insight into the 21-year-old's personality.
Wide-man Depay 's talent is undoubted, but it seems United could have a player with the personalities of Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli and Raheem Sterling rolled into one on their hands if things turn bad.
He has moved to Old Trafford in a £25million switch from PSV Eindhoven, and Koeman - who was the Dutch club's coach when Depay was a youth player there - said: “I think they paid a lot of money.
"Because it is United, where they already spent £200m on players like Angel Di Maria, such a big figure is put in perspective.
"If you pay millions for Di Maria who hardly plays, if you pay a fortune in wages and rent fee for [on-loan] Radamel Falcao who NEVER plays, than £25m is not a lot of money for them…
“He won’t play every game.
Stuck to their smartphones.’’
Koeman is not the only man to sense difficulties for Depay, as influential talent spotter Henk Grim also has doubts over the 21-year-old.
Grim is one of the master scouts in Dutch football, who has been tracking Depay over the past five years.

“It was absolutely disgusting, the foul language that boy used towards his fellow players and towards people in the crowd.
Despite the warning, Koeman admits he DID try to get Depay himself last year.
He hoped the Dutch connection could convince him to move to St Mary’s, but the deal failed to come off.
Koeman explained: “My brother Erwin has the same agent, we tried to bring him to Southampton but he wanted to stay for one more year at PSV.
“When United went in for him this summer, we knew at Saints that we had no chance. When they come, we have no chance.’’
And despite the fears over how Depay will settle in England, Koeman reckons he may have the perfect boss to guide him.
He said: “I think, with Louis van Gaal, he gets a coach who he knows . It makes it easier to settle.’’
- “I understand a boy can be in a period of having to grow up. With the intensive personal coaching at PSV Eindhoven they have managed to make an okay player of him.’’
Lol.
Says it all about Koeman that. Tries to sign a player and gets the brush off, then he demolishes him publicly as not good enough...and now he apparently wants to turn 180 degrees again to sign him for Everton.
What an utter phony.
