Gerard Deulofeu

I think a grade 1 hamstring still mean 3 weeks or so.
Both Baines and Jags have been back within 10 days of being subbed after feeling their hamstrings in a similar fashion to Gerard although they are not quite the same style of sprinters as Deulofeu so possible it might take longer for him, especially as they might not want to push him too hard given he is out of match fitness anyway.

Hamstring Strain Recovery Times
While every hamstring injury and the demands of your sport differ, here are some general hamstring strain recovery times when you follow an optimal physiotherapist-guided rehabilitation program.

Grade 1 - 1 to 3 weeks

Grade 2 - 4 to 8 weeks

Grade 3 - 3 to 6 months. These may also require surgery.

Thanx.

I pressed the 'like' button because this made me laugh. However, in reality, I don't like it at all. It's too close to the truth.

It's a real kick in the balls mate isn't it. He really needed a full pre season to hit the ground running as he had missed a lot of football and if he's out for 3-4 weeks it's not the games he will miss but the additional pre season training that was so important.

I blame John Stones for this Jamo ( just getting it in there just in case he hands in a transfer request and I have to start booing him )

We should get rid before he ruins everything.

So unless I am wrong, and happily so, no hamstring issues at Barcelona B. Hamstring issue at Everton. No hamstring issues at Sevilla. Hamstring issue a few weeks back at Everton.
Is that correct?
We can't buy a trick.

Absolutely nothing about him being injured on http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

It's very reliable and updated daily.

Kof' with the negativity.
Ben Dinnery is the guy who does the updating of Physioroom but usually lists stuff on his twitter feed first.

@BenDinnery: New signing Gerard Deulofeu will be assessed and could miss the start of the season after the winger damaged his hamstring in training #EFC

@EthenDaniel: Excuse me @BenDinnery do you know if Deulofeu is going to be fit for the first game against Watford? Coin flip for the C, him and Hazard
@BenDinnery: Still being assessed. Some suggest a grade 2 tear - in which case at least a month - but this has not been confirmed https://t.co/KGP0UVgdcU

@BenDinnery: Reports suggesting Deulofeu will miss the start of the season appear to be wide of the mark as the winger is still being assessed #EFC
@lucajames_Hz: @BenDinnery echo just said he was injured in the arsenal game and likely wont miss start of the season
@BenDinnery: @lucajames_Hz Still being assessed from what I know .... Previous issues are also a concern. Conservative could still mean 7-10 days
@BenDinnery: @franks_jake Still being assessed so hopefully not too serious #Deulofeu

Hopefully it's just a case of him not travelling to Scotland (shame because that's where the match fitness will really pick up I think). If so and he's back for Leeds then he should be alright to have half an hour or so against Watford.
