as much as you love or hate moyes
there seems to be a big problem with how the blues play.
with tiny tim gone, we seem to have turned a corner. the problem is that because tiny tim has gone, moyes is forced to play a team ( a lot of blue, but not all) have been asking for all year.
i like moyes 4-5-1, always have, cos it has givin us great years(years after years)
why is it tho that we only seem to do well when davey is givin less options?
and a question i have been asked all year that i cant answer from my many liverpool mates(im in canada, but from bootle) is, in there worst year in 50, and after we beat them(easy)why are we level on points? the money probs are easy to answer but by a mile we have a better team and squad. the forwards have been poor, but is it just that?(for me it is, with yak.sara on fire we wud be 4th now)
cant wait for the derby, but always worried. if we win, cant believe we are only 3 pts ahead, if we lose.......which we wont but still we shud be 10 pts above them now(y)

For the tactics issue, the old saying "you can't see the wood for the trees" comes to mind. There's a few reasons the 4-5-1 collapsed on us, but the main one was confidence. We started the season fairly well in terms of performance, but the results didn't follow. We couldn't stick the ball in the net due to ineffective strikers and they we went in a rut.

Cast your mind back to the summer and there was no reason whatsoever why anyone would think the 4-5-1 would fail as badly as it did. You can blame Moyes for not switching it up earlier, but the truth was he was shellshocked and looked a bit lost. He'll learn from it.

The above is the answer to your next question - the reason Everton aren't flying high above Liverpool is because we had a bad, unlucky start. Our squad cost well under half of what theirs has, but is undoubtedly a better squad.

The difference is, we're underperforming badly, whilst Liverpool are just awful. The old saying is "form is temporary, class is permanent" - give Liverpool have two, three tops "good" players, my guess is that we'll come out of the slump a lot quicker than they will.

Liverpool won't go down of course - they'll beat sides as their reputation scares other sides regardless of who is on the pitch, but they'll do well to finish top 10.

ya i know, being new on here so dont want to upset! just think its getting to similar that we do better when moyes only has 11-13 to pick from
