Married too young and couldn't keep it in my kecks & she now lives in a 5 bedroom detached house whilst all my mates either cheat or are too frightened to leads to a cynical view of the whole situation mate but hopefully you took my meaning in relation to our situation ?

It's quotes like that that really do make me fume

Completely driven from the fact he's Phils brother rather than an actual in-depth look at the club.

Outlined emphatically by his assertion that the club is in "great hands".

Phil Neville: "Eh, kidder, (points up) look at Manchester Town Hall. Look at the intricate brickwork and stonemasonry. It reminds me of the need for long term projects". *hint hint*

Gary Neville: "You're right our kid".

Phil Neville: "Would you say it reminds you of football club managers needing two decades to find their feet rather than a couple of years?"

Gary Neville: "Dont know kidder. Hadn't really thought about it like"

Phil Neville: "By the way, kidder, are you doing your Mail on Sunday column tomorrow" *sideways glance*.

You KNOW it happened.

Why should fans be happy that we constantly finish 5th - 8th? and actually it would be 6th - 8th just outisde European places. United fans went mental for finishing 2nd and getting knocked out of Europe last season, should they be happy? Chelsea and Arsenal continually finish top 4, should they be happy?

In life what ever i do i like to better myself or at least try too, so why when it comes to my football club should i be happy finishing the same year in year out? I know people will say its an uneven playing field what with the millions other clubs have to spend but that does not detract from the same problems we suffer from year in year out, ie breaking down lesser teams at home, tactical naievity in games etc. I hate this media image of plucky little Everton. It feels as if the tabloids want to roll us over and rub our cute little tummys. **** that.

Within marriages, husbands and wives can become too comfortable and complacent and this is how i feel David Moyes and Everton have become. Games like the Norwich away and the FA cup last weekend sums this up perfectly for me. Certain games it feels like we go through the motions and im afraid Moyes has to take the blame for that, just as he has taken the plaudits from yesterdays performance.

David Moyes has done alot for Everton football club over his 11 years here but for me this summer is time for a change for both parties. At least then we can look back pretty fondly on Moyes tenure at the club rather than the continued 'familiarity' which will ultimately lead to contempt.

Good article and, if just aimed at Stoke I'd agree with it. He lost me when he brought Everton into it and it began to sound like bollox.

"I suppose the icing on the cake for Moyes would be to win a trophy"

No, the trophy is the cake. There is no cake at the moment, it's just an empty friggin plate.

Kin 'icing'. Divvy.

Neville P. gets found out and snookered from uttering any more patronising remarks about accepting mediocrity, so he passes the task on to his brother.

Could have been written(probably was) by any no account journo that watches us twice a season. I'd take an Evertonians opinion on us any day.

Is he trying to point out what Phillip said about finishing in the top 10 is a massive achievement for a club like Everton?

When I look at the foreign leagues, I don't look beyond the top 3/4 everyone else is irrelevant and thats currently what we are in world football. It's not good enough for any fan. So no matter how good his writing was I don't agree that we shouldn't be bored finishing 7th

I do not want Moyes leaves Everton. If he leaves us this summer then we will be in trouble. This club have no recources (even minus) and no one will do a better job than Moyes. How can anyone could get us 6th or above with absolutely no money to spend?
