It really is. I'm sure Koeman has felt compelled to play him as he's clearly valued by the members of the squad, but you just can't put him out there anymore. It's best for everyone. Will definitely miss the obligatory yellows, though. Every.game.
Been a brilliant signing, absolutely loved him getting Costa so wound up in the cup game two years ago. May not have been the most mobile and was a walking yellow card but still has a brilliant footballing brain. Will be a big miss in terms of personality in the squad and the professionalism he brings but hopefully will give more chance for Davies to get more game time in the middle.
Hmm, he's certainly better than Besic and McCarthy.
