The only thing is, it sounds to me Lille are desperate to drum up interest. This double deal was apparently all sorted 3 weeks ago, then it seemed it was all about the striker, no mention of Gabriel. And Napoli trying the get the price down from 80 to 50mil.
Then the rumour last week was spurs had bid, then a few days after, another English club had matched ours and Napoli’s bid, again believed to be spurs.
Then last night spurs had bid for the striker as well, so all of a sudden Spurs are doing a 100mil double deal.
Then today out of France, It’s claimed the deal with Napoli for Osimhen is done for 81mil and they also said Liverpool wanted Him to, Really they didn’t want to pay 49 for Werner a player they’ve been after for ages, but quite happy to pay 81mil for this kid. Do me a favour.
I’m not saying we will get him and maybe we’ve moved on to other targets, but I wouldn’t believe a word that comes out of France and even more so Italy.
