I searched but couldn't see a thread open for this season. Mods pl merge if I am in error!

Tipperary looking very impressive against Waterford even before the sending off. Waterford reacted better after that - often happens.

Tip just got a killer goal to make it 1-22 to 0-17 with 13 minutes to go.

Next up is Limerick v Cork. I can't see much chance for Cork there.

2-30 to 0-18 FT.
Two heavy defeats in a row for Waterford and two impressive wins for Tipp.

Tipp scored 2-14 to 0-8 in the second half.

Horgan 1-9 and that's with 8 wides !!!!

Brilliant from Cork in the 2nd half. I don't think anyone saw that coming after their dismal performance against Tipp last week.

Pity Sky didn't have this...great advert for the game.

Final Score:

Limerick 1-19 Cork 1-26

Limerick got it all wrong today, great performance from Cork all the same. On a side note, the ref was brutal today, so many soft frees, hope it's not a sign of things to come this summer.

Honestly say I’ve never watched it before but quite enjoyed that Limerick v cork game think I kinda understood it by the end

Mrs BR and I were in Bath the weekend of last year's All Ireland Hurling Final. It was an exciting and historic win for Limerick (first since 1973) but the quality was not great - however with 80,000 at the match the atmosphere was brilliant. We watched it in an Irish bar which also was showing Man Utd and Brighton. Loads of locals who had come in to watch the soccer ended up transfixed watching the hurling, and we were happily explaining the rules to these welcome neophytes!!

They couldn't believe how hard the tackling was but zero histrionics. If a man went down he really was hurt!!

How long would some of the Premiership players last in a hurling match. Seamus Coleman would be an obvious exception having played Gaelic Football!! ;)

Cork got the season back on track anyway. But i have no doubt, that we haven't heard the last from Limerick. But to beat the champions, in their own backyard, is obviously very satisfying. And Armagh edged out Down by a point, in extra time.Down were always my second favourite GAA county.Mickey Linden is my favourite non Cork footballer. And a good interview here, with the great man himself Pete McGrath.

You weren't the only one.But as the saying goes, Cork can never be written off in hurling.Football though is another story. As the saying goes, god gave Cork a football team, to teach Cork people modesty.lol

Tempted to put this in Everton only thread but decided to stay safe.

Anyway today I attended an excellent seminar on Managers and Well Being hosted by my association.

Brilliant talk from Philly McMahon whose book my daughter bought me for Christmas. I really recommend it to all GOT readers as an exemplar of how to maximize the benefits of the negatives that life throws at us.

Anyway, his late Dad and brother, as well as Philly are/ were staunch Evertonians!!

I had a few minutes with him before he spoke and he was clearly delighted to meet another (Royal) Blue.

I really recommend his book The Choice.

Inspiring. Great to get him to sign it dedicated to my daughter and me.

Come on the Dubs!!!
