The difference is though both parties were guilty in this instance over Suarez and Jihn Terry. There was nothing to defend, did they have a go though? Of course they did. Despite being blatantly in the wrong they still hassled the authorities every step of the way. Im not talking about the big incidents either, im talking about the countless small ones that happen every single game every week. This isn't a woe is Everton piece, its a the league want to actively promote their most marketable assets piece, and we're not one of them. Thays why you can get ridiculous situations where refs and pundits will admit 'you can't give a pen at Old Trafford/Anfield at that time of the game' and everyone is happy to laugh it off. Its a disgrace. As the poster above said look at our ladt few performances at the Etihad. The standard of refereeing is a joke, it is almost purely subjective and they still refuse to accept technology other sports have embraced. I spoke to one of my mates who is Stoke fan and he genuinely preferred the championship, he could not believe the refereeing in the premier league. When you get the chairman of the prem coming out saying its bad for the league United aren't in the champions league you realise it is just a cartel. I'll watch Everton in Europe and in the FA cup but i'll never pay for sky as the premier league is an absolute joke.

Spot on. Any monopoly/ oligopoly detests 'new' competition and exerts nefarious influence to effect it not occurring.
All you swe with FFP is doing what City and Chelsea do, buying big and in bulk, even if it means taking a fine, in the knowledge that they can still sell their excess for huge figures. Lukaku, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Salah , Luiz, Mata, all sold for huge fees allowing Chelsea to still buy top players and even make money. All it has done has allowed top clubs to horde youth prospects and lower clubs not to be able to psy top wages to keep their stars.

And to illustrate your point just look at the way the media rallied behind Liverpool over the whole Suarez racism and biting incidents plus how the F.A. brushed it underthe carpet.

They were so lenient it begat a thread on thus forum based on an Echo headline which claimed there was a "witchunt" against the RS.

Ditto Chelsea FC felt they were victimised over the John Terry affair.

Bottom line.....all clubs feel the world is against them.

But we seem to have more conspiracy theorists than most......probably born out of the inferiority complex you have outlined so eloquently in that post.

I bet JFK is your favourite film :p
Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourhino have made a career out of winding up their dressing room with the old inferiority complex, we are being singled out by refs, the FA hates us, it's us against the world etc.

I often wondered about the Chewy incident,he was basically found guilty of racism,so could any of the teams he
played against refused him entry into the stadium?

I think clubs like us and Spurs can crash the CL, PL clubs with the budgets they have should be able to gazump the majority of Europe for talent. For us to crack it we need very good management and a strategy but we're more financially able than any other time in contempory history.

in fairness, the top 6 earning the most money from the prem (alot down to extra games on tv) has probably been the same for a few years now.
