blue to the bone

Player Valuation: £80m
started this thread before but now we nearly no the sides goin down

west brom. not too many candidiated here. morrison looked ok this season and brunt not a bad left sided player but not sure either would improve us

boro. downing is the obvious one but not for me.. gary o neill is ok at times maybe adam johnson looks one who could improve. bates as a squad player on the cheap not too bad

newcastle. interestin beacuse alot of players underperforming.. bassong is not a bad defender while guttirrez has shown flashes of been a talented player and is left sided.. owen is too injury prone i would rather take a chance on viduka on a pay as u play deal

hull.. myhill as a back up keeper not a bad option while michael turner has been there best player all season but would not be cheap.mendy if got cheap migth be an option

gonna go for a controversial one here;
Jonas Gutierrez.
I think hes got a bit about him. I do rate him and I think about £5 million would be enough. Im with you though OP, I cant really pick many other standouts. Only defensive players - goalkeepers at West Brom and Hull (Carson and Myhill will not want to be No 2s) and centre halfs at Newcastle and Hull (Turner and Bassong) - positions which we have well covered.
Wingers we need, left-sideded would be great, who work hard and are good technically, I think Guiterrez fits the bill.

Owen? Martins? Downing? i'd love to see any of those at goodison. Owen could also elevate the profile of the club as well as helping youngsters

Morrison from WBA, Downing from Boro. The rest I wouldnt touch with a ****ty stick.
Morrison is a good shout another ex-Boro academy lad. Technically good I think but not particularly mobile; like most of the Albion. Polar opposite Johnson still at Boro not technically gifted but lightning pace.

Would take either of them for a decent price, they both have the makings of a good player.

Robert Koren looks like he could be a player if Moyesy gave him the Finch treatment. Reckon hel be in for Morrison as a cert though.

*Say no to Dubai takeovers!

I like the look of Gutierrez too. Wouldn't mind signing him at all, he looks a bit like a samurai, a hispanic one like.

I always thought Martins was just the right manager away from being one of the top strikers in the world but every season he under-performs leads me to doubt him. Would be interesting to see what Moyes could do with him for the right price. He's another one that we'd lose to the AFCON though.

I suppose I'd like us to sign Downing given the chance. Enough people tell me he's good, he must have something about him. Adam Johnson looks alright as well. Tuncay could be worth a flutter if he's going cheap.

I like Gutierrez too but unless Citeh comes with a giant bid for Lescott we have decent depth at CB. I think Neville could also play CB if needed so its not a priority. He's in the Steven Hunt category, nice player, not a priority.

Benetez wants Wheater, which is a pity because I like him.

I've always been a fan of Morrison. Could be a nice part-time starter and add depth.

Spurs have always had a hard-on for Downing and I'm guessing they'll submit a large bid the 1st day of the transfer window. Still hoping Boro doesn't go down though.

Martins, Owen nice players but injured too much and would cost too much.

Brunt has looked really good the past few weeks, he's arguably been the best player in April. Reminds me of Nugent which at least to me is a good thing. I don't think WBA will be selling many players. They didn't really break the bank w/ transfers this season.

Bullard? Love him, but we've used our fair share of cadaver ligaments this season. Too injury prone and makes too much moola to take a chance on.
