Friedel to Spurs

A bit of a surprise. I really thought they'd go for Ben Foster. Maybe Redknapp wants to persevere with Gomes but needs solid back up? They've also had a £10.5m for Leandro rejected by Internacional. Twenty two goals in twenty four games is a very impressive debut season. Why are they suddenly buying lots of Brazilians?

I bet he has one of those silly 80k+ wages, too.

I liked Spurs before Redknapp, but now can't wait for him to go away and Spurs to go bankrupt, as it always happens with teams managed by him.

I was just going to say, if you look at Redknapp's record he tends to get results but when he leaves clubs (Saints, Hammers, Pompey) they are generally in financial ruin. Spurs have the backing though so they could probably get away with it more than the others!

How old is Friedal anyway, 50?

He's excellent, but surely he doesn't have much left in the tank?

Ben Foster is a good shout; young and in a recently relegated team. And he's also very good.

Gomez has made noises about returning to PSV. Honestly see him going as they also have Cudicinni who is also excellent. See Friedel as number 1 with Carlo as back up.
