I thought they were called Everton, but I think it's just that they used to have Distin... and have a player called Everson.

Which reminds me of Brett Emerton. Whenever I'd be watching a game with him in, and the commentator would say "Emerton", I kept hearing "Everton", and it used to confuse the hell outta me, lol.

Its not exactly the same though, Their date is on the inside of the crest.
