Moyes won't drop Fellaini back IMO and neither should he. All our good form in the last 9 months has come with Fellaini higher up the pitch and even at Villa and WBA we fell apart when he went deeper.

I don't know we're the myth has come from that it's his best position either. He never played there for Standard, he doesn't play there for Belgium and he's now looking a really top class player since he's been pushed into what his is best position by us.

He's a very good player but defensively, he's just not as good, he doesn't track runners and doesn't have the discipline for the deeper role. Add in the fact that it's a waste of his talent him being there then I can confidently say I doubt very much we'll see him starting many games in that position.

It will be Neville there, all those clutching at straws putting Fellaini in there are doing so more in hope as Neville and Osman will play in Gibsons absence.

funny how opinions can differ, I also rate felli massively, but think it is a waste of his talent to play him behind the striker, when he could develop into one of the best CM's in the world. Also we have other options that arent Neville behind the striker, do we have this deeper in midfield.

Felli has been really poor at DM this season. When he dropped back at Villa they took complete control of the midfield, even with a man down shockingly **** players. We've got our best squad in years but DM is now our weakest position. The answer in Gibbo's absence might be to play without a DM, but that would mean a fundamental change to our set up so can't see it. Nev will be in there.

He should play five at the back with baines and Coleman given their usual freedom to get forward and a back three including Heitinga who can also push up more. Then Fellaini peinaar and Naismith behind Mirallas and jelavic. Sorted

dont understand how many people are mentioning barkley, but when we were getting this guy on loan everyone was sayig he has to go out on loan as he isnt good enough yet.

which he isnt

no, people understand that moyes think's he's not good enough yet, therefore he should be going out on loan to get competitive games rather than playing in our reserves. a lot, like me, think he is good enough, the only way he'll improve is with experience.

Moyes doesn't think Junior and Barkley are ready yet, we've just lost out on bringing another cm in, Gibson could be out for 4-6 weeks, it's clear that we should be considering short-term deals for Hargreaves, Ballack and Reo-coker, otherwise, one more injury and there could be real trouble.

As much as it pains me to say it, I would play Neville centre mid against Newcastle. Against weak teams at home then maybe we can play Felli and Osman but against decent sides we need someone to do a disciplined defensive midfield job.

I think people can now have a bit of a rethink and re-evaluation of our transfer window though, when we are relying on Phil Neville in midfield yet again. We better spend that money in January.
