Free Kicks

Wouldnt want Lukaku near one tbh. His shooting from 20 yards is pi55 poor. Seems to scuff or not get any power in any of them.

Mirallas has emerged as a genuine option to Baines this season and we are such a threat now from set plays.

Any idea why they take corners from the wrong side though? Does my head in that

He absolutely walloped one against someone so hard the keeper couldn't hold onto it and we scored from the following passage of play. Might have been the ****e, can't remember.

I reckon with McGeady running with pace at defences we will be getting more free kicks in danger areas the rest of the season.

Remember it well, they were all over us most of the game.Brett Angel's last game I think. Those were the days

one of my favourite aways that game. I was only 15 or 16 and used to go to the aways by myself as all my mates were Kopites. Lower tier, back row. Went absolutely mental when he scored that. That game and an away against West Ham when we were up **** street and Cottee bagged a goal and it was nuts at the front. Those 2 games stick out for me, **** I enjoyed those days out when we were pretty **** and grabbing an away win. Even when Everton are **** they are still ****ing boss when it comes to memories

Gueye scored a peach against Arsenal U21 the other night. Deulofeu came to prominence over the summer when a video of him taking freekicks at Barca emerged online. We now know that Barkley, Mirallas and Lukaku are more than capable. And of course there is Baines. So how long will it be before they're all queuing up around the ball (any 'keepers worst nightmare) or we have multiple setpiece scorers in a single match?

Could end up having a chain of four players running up to the ball and dummying it.

Then howard does an eighty yard dash and snots it into the net.

Well Coleman usually sits at the half-way line on set pieces, and is probably one of the few players in the world who could cover that distance in the time it takes the other 4 run up and dummy the ball.. would love to see it

not sure we can label barkley as capable because he's only taken one, ha. not sure i've seen him take one since tbh. could have just been beginners luck.

This is the way forward. All of them lining up in a straight line backed up to the centre circle so they can dummy until the appointed one slots from 25 yards. Keeps the keeper guessing. Put Baines at seventh.

We'll make all our players do their hair up like Baines and wear the same boots as well, just to add to the confusion.

Quite honestly it is shocking how few free kick opportunities we have enjoyed lately (don't get me started about penalties ) . I know Berto was quoted as saying he treasures goals from open play more than dead-ball situations (testament to all round team play), and I get that , but when you have Coleman, Mirallas, Delofeu ,Naismith , Lukaku & Baines menacing defences wouldn't you think we would get more chances ?
