Glad to see Andy Hinchliffe getting the respect he deserves in this thread, I absolutely loved him as a kid, being a left sided back/midfielder, curled it as good as Beckham.

What's that, 4 good set piece takers?

Baines
Barkley
Mirallas
Deulofeu

Lukaku can put his foot through them too.

When we were relying on Baines the 'keeper had a chance at guessing where it could go and he could set his wall and his own position accordingly. But with two or three players over the ball we can wrong foot him more.

When is the last time we scored a normal goal? One that is not a contender for goal of the season. It just seems that every goal we score nowadays is an absolute beauty. (admittedly I didn't see the cup game against QPR so may have been one or 2 in there)

God, goals under Moyes i remember distinctly..

McFadden Vs Charlton
Beattie Vs. Fulham
Fernandes Vs. United
Arteta Vs. Fiorentina
Carsley Vs. Birmingham

but my favourite was definitely

Osman Vs. Larissa, thought for a while, we were gonna be great there, but that goal was brilliant, i remember the Gwladys street going mental!

That said, We've scored some absolute pearlers this season, my favourite? Probably Deulofeu's Vs. Arsenal

I'm expecting Naismith to hammer home our next free kick from 40 yards. That's how good it feels to be a blue these days.

Anyone else think that the amount of top free kicks where hitting this year is a direct result of the more technical focus on training compared to hard running training?

Wouldnt want Lukaku near one tbh. His shooting from 20 yards is pi55 poor. Seems to scuff or not get any power in any of them.

Mirallas has emerged as a genuine option to Baines this season and we are such a threat now from set plays.

Any idea why they take corners from the wrong side though? Does my head in that
