todays rumour?

is the main reason we are playing real salt lake, so that dm can run a personal check on freddy adu?

could our friends across the pond please give us an update on his situation/form

Was always tipped to be the next big star but hasn't done anything, he hasn't even hit the MLS by storm and can't get in the USA team on a regular basis.

in a few, including the mirror.

"much adu about freddie" (or something like) when allegedly there was a three way fight for him.

Adu's recent form has been great (at the U20's) and most would say he has matured a great deal in the last two years becoming much less selfish and a very good distributor of the ball. Yet he seems to whither against adults.

Per our other thread, while Adu gets all the hype there are several other young Americans who would make nice additions as well. Mark Bradley being the most immediately ready to contribute, Altidore is a good looking striker. Szetela is a forum favorite and I'd add Beltran and Rogers to the mix as well. Some of these guys might only be good for the Carling Cup and cover until they've had some time in the system but then EFC looks to be doing a lot of long range planning.

I reckon America is THE place to be for the future of football signings, how seriously the yanks take sport is amazing and it won't be long before they are producing world beaters.

(who we should sign on the cheap! (y)

there were a few really good players on the us u20 team. i was quite surprised when they got knocked out. if moyes bags one it would be very interesting.
