If your asking me, It's a shame some end up welcoming no marks like Jeffers back with open arms whilst the likes of Southall and others from the 80's teams are left firmly out in the cold. Says a lot about how this clubs been run for years to me.

As much as Big Nev was the best keeper in the world for around three years, his attempts at various jobs in football since he retired in no way qualify him to be a coach at Everton. I am haunted by his often published quote..'It would do Everton good to get relegated' WHAT ?

No shock you having a pop at a living legend, while you continually stick up for men who have actually damaged the club and some of the worst footballers of all time

....the bottom line in this is whether Jeffers is a good coach or not. That is all that matters. I certainly don't know the answer to that. We need to employ the best coaches to develop our young talent.

Is the right answer.

A load of people blowing hot air on here as usual though. Who knows if he's a good coach or not? Certainly not anyone on here.

Seems a bit like a personal attack that. I repeat...Big Nev was the best keeper in the world in my my opinion, for at least three years, and I'm proud that he was associated with the club I support. However, its my opinion that since he retired he has found it difficult to find the same success in football off the pitch, and as another poster above has said, his vibes towards Everton are mostly negative these days. I'm not the only poster on here to have this opinion, and its perfectly valid. Your second sentence smacks of just mudslinging...mention these terrible people you say I have supported, by name, and we'll move the free and open respectful debate further....its all about opinions.

....not sure how you can judge that. My understanding is that he'll be working with young strikers so I suppose you would like to see him have a positive impact on individuals development and ultimately one or two coming through.
Yep, far too soon to tell I suppose. Just wondered if any one had heard about any early positive contribution to the cause so far which might balance out the concerns that it might be a bit of a job for a mate type of thing.

...I just hope he's been appointed for the right reasons. More specifically, that he is making a positive contribution which has been recognised by senior coaches who want him on our team.
