I don’t think this team as it stands would get promoted, but I also don’t think it’d be relegated from the Championship either. I could see this exact squad with no further additions finishing between 12th and 8th in the Championship. What happens in the summer will be key to determining if we can compete for promotion, our choice of manager right now has to be made with the consideration of building for promotion too.

It's always hard to say but assuming we got rid of some of the higher earners/bigger egos I reckon a side with Patterson, Mykolenko, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Godfrey, Garner, Maupay, Simms, McNeil etc would be capable of getting promoted from the Championship. Unfortunately i'm pretty sure we won't have to wait long to find out.
