We wouldn’t have been able to give Arteta the funds he’s had at Arsenal. He struggled initially, only surviving with decent recruitment and a fair wedge of cash. This club can’t provide either at the moment or in recent times.

I wanted Arteta before and after Silva but that was more because of the romantic in me rather than his coaching abilities as I didn't (like 99% on here) have any clue how good he was.
Unfortunately Frank has to go, I like the guy but his position is untenable. Everyone wanted him to succeed and despite all the shenanigans going on behind the scenes he has thus far shown that he is not up for the job.

I did and I was wrong.
But the choice was between Ancelotti and Lego head.
And turning Arsenal round was a far easier job than having any meaningful success at our derelict shambles of a formerly ‘big ‘ club.
If he’d have come here , he’d have been well sacked by now.
