This, whether you like it or not, is 5 years in the making.

This is replacing Digne with Mykelenko; James for Gray; Richarlison for McNeil. This is relying on Alex Iwobi being our main creative threat.

This is on the board for the total destruction of this club over the past 5 years.

No manager will get anything out of this; this team will go down regardless of who is in the dugout.
Spot on.

Is he at fault for the mire that the club finds itself in? No.

Is it his fault we've just been walked over by Brighton? Absolutely.

It's not his fault Gana passed to one of their players, or Tarkowski fell over because he is obsessed with engaging players on the edge of the box, but it's his system that failed and he'll take the can for it.

But we'll go down, because we can't attract or afford the quality of manager or players we need to stay up.

this

As soon as he deviated from the 5 at the back on the team news I knew this would be him being found out.

Itls the only way this team can get a foothold in a game and he dropped it against a decent football team just as dangerous as Man City with the ball.

Itls ok saying he has to go, but we're down now anyway I believe.

That's it.

Championship next season.

It's all over for us as a top flight team for the next decade.
Is this kind of positive outlook that keeps us Evertonians going

I'm confident no manager would do worse to be honest, mate.

This has been coming since about March.

Well your post literally said "He won't survive this, but it's not really his fault."

Quite a bit of it has been his fault you divvy
Yeah I'm not a divvy lad.

He won't survive this result, but what has led to this result and the mire we're in ('this') is not down to him, or what is down to him is a very, very small part.

We go down anyway, I've thought it since November. We'd need a miracle.

Put it better than I did.

Agree but Lampard can’t stay after this

I'd agree under Benitez team but not this one. You don't play great away against the best team in the country then change the side after weeks of that side not working.

Then absolutely zero in game management at 1.0 down. The. 2.0 down. They popped in another goal before he even made a sub. He's out of his depth.
