what system did we play actually? I thought we started 3-5-2 but quickly went to a 4-4-2 in a diamond. Donny was central first half but DM the 2n half. Iwobi and Gordon changed sides a lot. Richy and dcl one moment side by side, the other they just moved a lot. I saw dcl even behind richy at some points. What do you reckon?

The front 4 played as a diamond...same as under Benitez but much more advanced and dynamic along with pressing...with freedom to move into space.
The other 6 it was hard to tell...they kept moving around from a 4 to a 3 at the back.

Early days still but he really seems to understand the style of football that the fans want and working hard with the team to deliver it. Delighted the improvement already in set pieces.
Also really liked the way he bigged up Iwobi post match, hope that gives the lad further confidence to deliver performances like today’s.
