DVB should be in that midfield from now one.
Again that’s a huge problem. Defensive is crap, midfield awful but up front we have loads of fire power but when 2 parts are failing what are we meant to do

Absolutely crazy that we allowed the kopite to continue to do the damage that he has done. The mutants must be absolutely buzzing at his torpedoing of the club.

As you say, if Frank had been brought in earlier I have no doubt we'd be in much better shape.
Won't blame him for mistakes FL makes or the players like, but we saw yesterday a team that has had 2 months or so now to get used to their manager, against a team with less than 2 weeks

A team that has been taken apart from a playing, player and confidence perspective. That is what are seeing.
They spent the last 2-3 years playing hoof ball. Going to take a while to learn to pass but until you have players like DVB and Alli who can control the ball your going to get swamped

Who else plays at LWB or even LB?

Kenny?? Patterson?

Patterson has 27 senior games to his name, in Scotland, and 15 starts. We needed a RB to come in straight away but instead signed a lad with zero experience.

This isn't hitting out at Patterson, he needs a chance now, but fgs, let's not keep acting like he's a world beater because frankly we have no idea if he is or not.
Yeah, and instead we put in Branthwaite, who has what, 3 games under his belt?

Lets not delude ourselves. Frank wanted to continue with what he made last saturday, wich wasnt a bad thing perse.

But the minute it became clear Newcastle figured it out, he shouldv acted. There was no outlet for our defense as our midfielders got pressed very agressive, sometimes by 2 newcastle players at a time. The ball hardly reached Richarlison, Gray or Gordon. Thats 3 players that where doing nothing.

We shouldv bought a CB and a DM. Instead, we bought/loaned 3 number 10 players again.

FYI Alli isn't a great possession player.

VdB absolutely is and I think we saw that.

Gomes hoodwinked us all - again - but it's time for that to stop. Can't get Doucoure back quick enough to give us at least a bit of energy in midfield

We didn't get 3 number 10s in at all

The El Ghazi move - which was on Moshiri and Moshiri alone - was the one that has scuppered us as it stopped us being able to get another PL loan in

Alli can take the ball on the turn and run at people and beat them as he did a few times.
Takes time to learn to pass to each other.. quite obviously it’s a skill you need yet our team don’t seem to have it lol

You poo poo this signing almost every day for a player you have no idea on. Strange behaviour.
None of us have any idea on him?

All we know is that Dunc, Benitez and now Lampard so far haven't deemed him ready. So maybe we should stop acting like he definitely is?

I want him to play. I would love him to start on Saturday and have a stormer mate.

But the fact remains we spent a big fee on a player with zero experience for a position we needed filling right away (not in a season's time) when we're in a relegation scrap.

And so far, he's not played a single minute for us under three managers.

Let's hope that changes on Saturday. I don't think that's on him at all. But I also think it was probably the right signing in terms of profile, but at the wrong time in terms of where we are in the league and the season.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting he’s ready we just wonder if he can be worse than Coleman who I suspect, were he not captain, would play less.

If you do a quick search for the number 27 on this forum on posts by you, you write the same thing about this kid A LOT. Maybe change the record.
