2021/22 Frank Lampard

There were three players at the back tonight who have seen off 5 managers now. All three need to go pronto. Yes of course there are issues in other elements of the team but these should have been removed long before now.
Pray Mina is ok for Saturday and try Branthwaite again. And please give Patterson a run.
I'd be surprised if we see much of Mina again this season mate if he's done his quad. Probably talking about 3 months for that and when he returns he'll be a bit tentative.

They were absolutely stymied by the intense pressing you could tell early in the game that certain players wanted to operate like they did when playing Brentford but the pressure just jarred them especially Gomes. That's challenging to instill that confidence in a week. I never really rated Howe but was he impeccable in his tactics.

Yes. Absolutley.

But if we get beat against Leeds or even draw the knives will be out. Make no mistake about that.

That's what the last 6 years of toppling managers has turned us into.

I fear that the frenzy to get Benitez out is a genie that wont go back in the bottle.

I'm not messing when I say that Lampard is a game away from the start of a revolt here.
I agree with the sentiment that we can't turn on Lampard, but I think we all know this situation isn't on him, so don't expect it.

The situation Benitez inherited was a poor one but he made it 100 times worse. It was a terrible appointment that should never have been considered. He is a footballing dinosaur that played sub-Pulis football without the skill at set-pieces. We allowed him to remove most people so therefore were in a position where we had to give him longer but that was madness and we are now paying the price.

Ancelotti had his flaws but he wouldn't have been hounded out. Silva probably left at the right time. Yes it might have worked out if the board had been braver and seen if he could turn it round (but I doubt it) and if they'd left it too long we'd end up in the position we're in now.

Allardyce could never have been left to build the team. Koeman was hounded out at the correct time as was Martinez as he had proven he wasn't going to address his flaws.

So all managers were 'hounded out' at an appropriate point really. Doesn't change all the other stuff being true about bad recruitment, lack of structure and the players consistently downing tools. But I can't see our lot turning on Lampard. We know where any blame lies.

I;m not saying he will be, Ilm saying there will be fans organised for that very purpose. Dont tell me that wont happen, because it will. There isn utter panic setting in here. No one has the discipline to stick and build with a manager now...and the owner is the very worst one to have in a crisis.

It won't happen as quickly as this, but I'm quite certain that the same ones who were utterly desperate to see him appointed will be the first to scream 'Chelsea rent boys' while unfurling a 'Cockney Mafia Out!' banner before the season is through.

worse than the one before and now the worse post by a million miles on here ever.

you come on here to just take the pees out of us.i’m sure you do now and what goes on in your mind to even “imagine it”

you don’t in any shape of form one bit support and love this football club

go and troll another forum

I'll tell you one thing, I didn't expect prophet angry citrus/chairmen of Benni's bootlickers to cheer me up after the result tonight, but the absolute wham he's spouted in this thread about fans wanting Fronk out if we get beat by Leeds actually made me laugh out loud - so much nonsense it's gotta be a pee take.

i’m seething how he’s so blazay about it

see the bit we’re he said “fans”

not us or we.

do one dave you idiot

It's just complete nonsense mate, I'm not sure what his game is.

I can only think he's trying to justify his unwavering support of tapastits when it was all going to hell, by saying "we" will all want Frank out next week if we get beat - when it's just simply not the case?!

I have given up trying to figure citrus out tbh, I just laugh at many of his posts now and you should too mate - embrace the madness.

Hope you feel better soon as well mate.

The defence isn't good enough we have injury prone players and we don't have leaders we don't have a will to fight, we knew all these things before tonight. The loss was sadly predictable. What Lampard has to ask himself is who can he rely on regardless of their age and play them, no more second chances for Gomes, Holgate, Coleman they cannot do it.
