It was the players to an important extent.

Or do you really think Frank waves a magic wand and everybody knows what they're doing. He's here a week, you can't judge him that fast.
You were banging on about benitez and how capable he was before we even played 1 game. So don't go round telling others they can't judge lampard at this point.

The players showed more in 90 minutes yesterday than at any point before this season

Coincidence?
The last 2 managers managed 14 points out of their first seven games. We know the quality is there and we've already seen them respond to a new face in the dugout.

Don't get me wrong, I really hope Frank is mightly succesful but he's facing more or less the same group that downed tools on Carlo Ancelotti this time last year.

You might be right but it's not exactly the same group of players, there was a big lack of creativity when James seemed to give up in second half of last season, but with Grey, Townsend, Gordon coming through and now Alli and Van de Beek there's a lot more options, I think Carlo would have kept us higher up the league with these players

I don't think Koeman and Chippy Tits 'got us'.
Maybe not but there was definitely over the top praising of them from some after a handful of games. I suppose a lifetime of Everton has just made me extra cautious.

Having said that… it was a good win yesterday though so we should definitely enjoy that after the last 6 months we’ve had to endure
