I think this is a bit unfair on Leicester actually. They found a weakness in our defence and focussed their attacks on that weakness - I don't think that's enough to accuse them of being worse than Stoke. Yes they sat back and defended in numbers, waiting to hit us on the break.... but they also came at us when they were a goal down and got their equaliser. Twice.

The fuming should be directed at the likes of Stones and Jags, who dealt so poorly with Leicester's attacking play, or at the players who faded dramatically on about 60 minutes, or at RM for not making the substitutions earlier and going for the killer blow when we were 2-1 up. Not at Leicester, who by and large were industrious and honest.

Sensible post. WTF has been going on in this thread since I last looked at about 3 pm - you lot been on the angry pills??

Just seems like you think you've been playing attractive football every year in the prem. You are a very good side but I think you could be a bit more humble when a lesser side puts up a good fight against you

good god know. we've been hard workers with a great work ethic for many years with the odd sprinkle of beautiful footy. we've only been attractive consistantly for a year. we were fairly good to watch 1st half yesterday, but utterly dire second half.

there are many ways to play football and the right one is always the winning one.

I think we should have had the game sewn up by half time. We tired badly after the hour mark and your spirit and never say die attitude in the second half warranted a draw. You have mentioned your missing players, it will be interesting to see how you play with those in the side. Maybe it is unfair to judge you on just one game (although you did come across as a bit one dimensional). Leicester fans did not see everton at their best either. Lukaku and miralles had only 45mins of football prior to the game yesterday and of course no Barkley or Coleman till late on. Maybe it is unfair to judge both teams on that performance.

I think that last sentence sums it up

What I actually said was he COULD have been sent off for that. Not SHOULD, just COULD. By all means have a different point of view, but at the very least please read what it is you're disagreeing with. I made that point in response to @FOXINPEACE saying that Barry SHOULD have been sent off, simply observing that the ref let a few things go for both teams.

You appear to be ranting against comment that wasn't actually made.

He couldn't have been sent off though, was a complete accident! So doesn't really matter either way

I'd love to know how you idiots come up with this sort of stuff.

You haven't even seen Burnley play, and you couldn't create a single chance against a newly promoted side when 2-1 up.

By watching the game yesterday, clearly you will struggle to stay up aswell then. Moronic post, extremely bitter.

Oooh err Mrs.

Good luck back in the Champo next season

Thought you played better after he went off actually.
He was struggling with his leg from about 15 minutes onwards, I kept seeing him trying to stretch it out and feeling it all the time. Should really have gone off earlier than he did.

Considering the two who finished the game in the middle have been derided by most city fans for the last year, I was pleasantly surprised that we managed to hold it together. I was really fearing the worst.

Barcelona we aint going to be even with a fully fit team, but I think our style of play would be much better. As I said previously though, we just mix it up and do what we need to do. Some championship teams last year raved about our style of play, some said we were grinders or hoofers. That's just what can happen when you just do what you need to do to win a game.

We'll probably have to mix it up a bit more than we did last year due to the higher quality of the division. But it's certainly not Pearson's style, if we stay up and manage to bring in a bit more quality I'm sure we'll then be able to play a bit more again.

All in all I think it was a pretty decent game with both teams going for it, with some end to end stuff.

They have Nugent up front though lads

LOL
Yeah, last time he was in the prem with a terrible Burnley he scored more than Jelavic managed to do last season for yourselves and Hull. But he didn't play one game for England so he's not some fun figure I suppose.

I think a cat gif is needed

We're just about to but a right back from Marsaille called Rod Fanni... just though that was worth mentioning lol

Wood and Fanni in the same time, just need to sign David Goodwillie and the headline writers dream would be complete.

Did anyone go to the game on here? One of my Leicester fans are saying our support was pretty quiet - can anybody confirm?

Seems a bit weird as it was the first game of the season and I heard quite a lot of Everton chants on 5 Live
