Duncan Ferguson called on his team to give it everything they had in the last three games. When asked if they were in three cup finals he replied "no, it is more than that." Ferguson has wanted a return to The Championship after losing to MK Dons in last season's play-off semi final. The side was unchanged but John Jones was struggling with fitness. The sell-out crowd between the two rivals was ferocious. It's days like today when Fylde have that 12th man behind them. The first 40 seconds Fylde pushed forward the crowd right behind them in every challenge. Fylde came forward with intensity, Bytheway to McKimm-Forster, he got it wide to John Jones and he slipped in Euan Henderson who placed it past the keeper on 15 minutes! Fylde are off the mark! 22 minutes on the clock, Wood plays it to Buckley who plays it wide to Wood, the cross comes in and Buckley gets up for the header, Dube goes down to claim it but it rolls past him and in to make it 1-1. Richard Macrae was an early casualty on 29 minutes when he pulled his hamstring. Sam Gibson was on to replace him. Dube played it to Stockbridge who knocked it down the line for Bytheway, he sent Wood the wrong way with cheers from the crowd, played it forward for Carey who got a lucky touch off the defender and put it low into the bottom corner to make it 2-1! There was optimism around the ground but you can't write off Danny Rose's side. Time ticked on and there was a nervousness around the ground. John Jones was playing on, Buckley won the header and it was goal bound and John Jones headed off the line. John Jones was knackered and was replaced by Mark Morton. Five minutes to go and Tyrone O'Neill who replaced Declan Marshall smashed the post, Henderson picked it up and was denied at the near post. Seconds remained and it was a case of just anywhere for Fylde. Egan picked it up at the back and pumped it down the left, Whitehead-Davies was there to put it out for a throw. That surely must be it? It is! What a victory for Fylde!

DF: We'll take this same intensity to Cardiff on Saturday. Despite their poor season, they'll still give us a game. There is no time to let up.
