The good news is I'm ahead of what they originally thought and my knee has healed very well. It is amazing to think I can play this season but I don't want to rush back too soon. There was more tough news for Fylde when Chima Okoroji was ruled out with a hernia for five weeks. The good news was Sam Allaway was preparing a return to first team training and is likely to be joining in with some light sessions over the coming weeks. Ryan East went for glory after ten minutes hitting a long range shot that stung the hands of the keeper tipping it over the bar. Sam Byram was creating for the forward line, crossing into the box for Henderson but he put his header over the bar. He should have got that on target. 8 minutes into the second half, Wisdom put in the corner, the ball was cleared back out to him, Wisdom crossed again, Henderson volleyed against the post, the keeper scrambled to save it but knocked it over his line! A calamitous error from the keeper. The clock ticked down and Fylde remained in control, Maidstone came close hitting a low free-kick which Foster done well to get down to before the ball was eventually cleared. It was another win for Fylde but only by a fine margin. As long as results keep coming I'm sure the manager will be happy. The result putting Fylde in third place, five points off leaders Hereford United.

A big clash at the top of the table giving Fylde the chance to close the gap on leaders Hereford to two points. 28 minutes gone, Wright-Phillips sent in a low pass into the path of O'Neill, one on one with the keeper taking it first time and it rises over the bar. Hereford's Dan Butler got the cross in to the box and it should have been picked up by Mark Connolly who let it run past him to Purrington to slot past Foster, an awful mistake from Connolly. With less than thirty minutes to go, Hereford went two up through Beere who weaved inside the box to curl one into the bottom corner. Ferguson made changes, Townsend came into the fray received a long ball and broke into the box, took a shot but the keeper made a good save the rebound came to O'Neill which forced the keeper into another good save. A poor outing for Fylde losing to Hereford and the better team won on the day.

Brett McGavin returned from injury and went straight back into the starting XI. After last week's defeat to Hereford it was a massive six-pointer for Fylde but it was always going to to be difficult against rivals Sutton. Mark Connolly and Paul Townsend both missed out after picking up injuries in training, both players rumoured to be out for around a month. Morgan Crowther is one of the leading players in the National League and has been instrumental to Sutton's success, he started up front. In the opening twenty minutes Fylde had 70% possession but could not create anything with it, Sutton kept it tight limiting Fylde to long range efforts. Sutton were creating better chances, coming close to scoring hitting the post but Fylde defended very well in the first half. Ferguson changed it up with thirty minutes to play, Croasdale left the pitch for Josh Ferguson, favouring a more attacking option to try and steal the game. Eight minutes to go, O'Neill tried a shot from outside the box but it deflected behind for a corner. Wisdom hit the outswinger, the ball was scrambled away by Sutton. The game continued with 3 added minutes, Wisdom took the corner played it to the outside of the box to Wright-Phillips who aimed his shot towards the top right corner but the keeper got across to save it. The whistle is blown and it's a point apiece. Fylde looked the better side but credit for Sutton for defending so well.
DF: Many would have had us down to lose today and we didn't play too badly, a draw against one of the league's best sides. We grinded out the result today but we have to create more chances in the final third.
