VACANCIES

ALL ABOVE VACANCIES ARE SUBJECT TO A SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION. FYLDE HAVE ALSO OFFERED DUNCAN FERGUSON A ONE YEAR EXTENSION.
Who'll rock up at Chelmsford.

I agree with @maccavennie that the blades might just be the step up for the big man. Would the Scottish teams make sense or should he stay in England.

Deep down I am still dreaming of the Coasters making it to the promised land under Dunc and the Huck.

IS FERGUSON STAYING?

We are mid-way through June 2021 and there is still uncertainty around Duncan Ferguson's future. After last seasons heartbreak, does the big man have it in him to give it another go? Fylde fans are behind the manager and he has the support of chairman David Haythornthwaite but does Ferguson feel ready for a new challenge in his career?

Leon Osman had this to say about his former team-mate. "I've known Dunc a long time and I know he is not the type to throw the towel in. Do I think he is capable of a more prestigious job? Of course I do, he has took Fylde and made them into worthy contenders for promotion and his win record is very good. I think he is enjoying it there and I don't know if a move is in his best interest. I think he should be managing higher up the leagues."

ANDY BOND RETIRES

A Fylde legend has decided to hang up his boots. The 35 year old tireless midfielder finished as Fylde's top scorer last season and was one of the sides best players. He will be remembered for scoring remarkable goals from almost anywhere on the pitch. He also won goal of the season last season for his incredible strike against Leyton Orient.

DF: I asked him to reconsider but his mind is made up. What a player and what a gentleman. He knows this football club is always here for him and I hope maybe one day he could come back in a coaching capacity.

Shame he's retired, promotion and a pay rise that would have come with the step up would have done it. Still, great season from him so he can say he finished at the top of his game.

I've decided you should take the one year deal extension, I can feel it that one more year will do it and you'll get automatic promotion with a records points total

Sleep on it Dunc if you need to, but if not I've stuck the contract in yer trouser pockets that are hanging up on the washing line

Up the Coasters!
