Credit we're credit's due: we're very difficult to beat. I dont see us losing more than 6 or 7 this season, if that. The issue is whether we have enough quality throughout the squad to convert draws into wins. I dont think we have. Unless Moyes starts giving the likes of Barkley a real run or he can add and not lose good players in January we'll finish no higher than 6th...and that'll be a struggle.

Mirallas, Fellaini, Jelavic, Osman, Bianes and Pienaar all have more than enough about them to get a goal between them and we score at least one nearly every game of late, its rare for us not to score these days.
Personally I don't think its Barkley's position that's the problem, if we want to win more games we need to sort out the other end of the pitch and stop conceding.

To a point but if you look at our dominance and number of chances in some games you have to be disppointed we've not scored more.

1 point worse off than we were from the same fixtures last season, apparently.

Depends who you swap Reading and Southampton for.

Primarily down to Moyes' own farting about with the CB pairings all season and his failure to have a Plan B GK in place.

Moyes talks about getting the balance right between attack and defence, but it's more a question of defending properly. If we'd tackled Walcott in the middle of the park with more conviction he wouldn't have gone on the run that lead to his goal. Probably 75% of the goals we have conceded have been our own fault rather than the opposition's brilliance. We look like we're going to score every game so, if we can just get our act together at the other end, we could easily start turning draws into wins.

4) Spurs WWDDDW 12 points
5) Liverpool WWLWDD 11 points
6) Everton LWDDWD 9 points
8) Arsenal DLLWDW 8 points
9) Chelsea LWDWDL 8 points

Spurs have only won one of those game by two clear goals and could have Defoe out for 2 months. Their next 6 games are:
Newcastle (H), West Ham (A), Arsenal (H), Liverpool (A), Fulham (H), Swansea (A).

Liverpool have comfortably beaten sides in the bottom half but are still to win against a side from the top half.
West Brom (H), Swansea (H), Wigan (A), Spurs (H), Southampton (A), Villa (A).

Our games have been pretty tight and the odd goal has decided them.
United (A), Norwich (A), Reading (H), Arsenal (A), City (H), Stoke (H).

Arsenal have only been convincing in one of their last 6 league games.
Sunderland (A), Villa (H), Spurs (A), Everton (H), Swansea (A), Reading (H).

Chelsea have conceded at least 2 goals in three out of four of their most recent matches:
Wigan (H), City (A), West Brom (H), Fulham (A), West Ham (H), Southampton (A).

Spurs have got quite a tough run and Fulham at the home looks like their only nailed on win.
Liverpool have won 5 out of their last 6 at home. West Brom should be a win but Swansea and Spurs will be more difficult.
We should beat Reading and Stoke at home really.
Arsenal should be able to pick up a couple of wins as well.
Chelsea will hope to take maximum points from West Brom, Wigan and West Ham at Stamford Bridge.

So those'll be draws then.... :(

Seriously tho, we need to start keeping some clean sheets. If we can do that then we will win games.

Just to undermine your point our last 2 clean sheets have resulted in draws!

I was saying that we need clean sheets for a while until we finally got 2 in a row, shame the games ended 0-0 though. At the end of the day there's no clear advantage to winning a game 1-0 or 2-1 and as long as we win that's all that matters, preferably with us scoring lots of goals.

We managed a couple of clean sheets before Johnny came into the side. Either he will only play again in an emergency or he will greatly step up his level of performance. Anyone can beat anyone and even the supposed 'bankers' could go either way.
