So I wonder, what is your real view on foreign Everton fans?

We love you anyway mate! You're one of us after all. Chosen few and all that. We laugh at the others cos they're utter plastics. I'm not from Merseyside and was brought up in a Villa household. Nothing would ever stop me being Blue. Nor should it you.

If you travelled all the way from America for a game your connection with the club is as legitimate as anyone else. And even if you didn't it's still legit. In fact it's not just legit....it's

Support your local team.

Well, I really support our national football team. I cheer for all Czech football teams playing in European competitions if they are not playing against us. I like watching big games in our league, but without really cheering for any of teams. I just can't support any of them. My heart is at Everton.

And why exactly should I support my local team? They are playing in 5th Czech division, they are better at drinking alcohol than in football, the players are absolute idiots to meet, the club is owned by a convicted fraud and the league is insanely full of corruption. I have absolutely no time for that.

Oh and thank you guys. So many positive and nice posts in this thread. Keep them coming, amazing reading, Everton that!

Some top shouts on here - if you're from overseas and you started supporting Everton in the last 30 odd years you're defo not a glory hunter.

When I first came to Australia in the early 2000s all the lads at my Sunday league team wore Liverpool, Man U and Chelsea tops to training (apart from the Italian/Greek lads). These days we have loads of Blues, right down to the U-12s. Massively due to the efforts of Mr Cahill.

These lads watch all the games at stupid times of the night, they're passionate about our team and they love hearing all the stories of our history (especially about being the first team to ever wear 1-11 in '33 - our first choice striker in the Seniors always wore 14, since he heard that story he's all over number 9).

One bloke has just had his forearm tattooed with 'Nil Satis Nisi Optimum' and his arl fella is a Dutch migrant to Oz.
