...ok so I got a Master's degree in Modern European History, and have a lifelong love of reading and studying history. Who else out there loves reading about it too? What are your favorite topics?

Is the Napolonic era modern?

When does modern start and end?

And if you look at the history of science the 20th century was quite astounding in terms of the pace of development.

Modern era in European terms is generally considered to be the French Revolution onward. So yes, Napoleon is considered "modern" European History.

Right, where are these slanderous rumours coming from, that's both you and Fester saying I dip the rounds you monster.

Love history me, mostly WWII to be honest. Reading a good book by Anthony Beavor on D-Day now, got Berlin next.

I watch reruns of Mock the Week on Dave. Does that count?

Lol. Seriously I love history. I did it at GCSE, and enjoyed that. Especially America circa 1920 ish.

I collect old photographs from way back when. A lot given to me by my gran who was born in 1900 and died in 2001. From an early age she used to tell me what is was like for her growing up, and it sort of got me obsessed with seeing it for myself in photos.

I have a degree in Politics and Modern History - I specialise in the Tudors, the Renaissance and Reformation, I suppose. Love History more now than ever.

I'm fascinated by Spain right now and am reading more and more about the Spanish Civil War.
