Im absolutely gutted- I am top scorer for my side this season, in the form of my life and I got sent off at the weekend for the fist time in 16 years of playing senior football.

I got sent off after 5 minutes for apparently kicking out. A defender was sheperding a ball out of play and as the ball went out he tried to shoulder barge me, I put my hand on his back and puch forward and lifted my foot.

Never a sending off- even their manager said he would state that it want if i wanted to appeal.

Trouble is its a 28 day ban and we only have 4 league games left. Just hope I can appeal and get it rescinded.

Anyone else gone through a similar appeal process?

Come on admit it. You elbowed him in the mouth, punched him as he was falling and raked your studs repeatedly down his balls as he lay unconscious on the touchline. A yellow would have been enough though.

Ive only been sent off once and I deserved it after calling the ref a "sarcastic ****!" But he never sent it in luckily for me so never got a ban.

We recently appealed a sending off for our left back where the opposition even said it was never a red, but most leagues will always side with a ref once a decision is made. Especially where it is seen as violent conduct.

Well this particular ref actually acts as 4th official in Championship games and is pretty strict but our local league think hes a bit of a tit. So Im hoping if they give me a personal hearing i can put it off and put it off until the season is over. That way I get to continue the promotion push and stomach the ban next season.

I am gutted though.

I've never even gotten a yellow.

Although I did want to knock the **** out of the ref when he said that my penalty never fully crossed the goalline. Which it did. The keeper on my team was on the goaline and said it crossed the line. There's no linesmen in my league. We would have won the league for like the 5th or 6th time in a row, but we lost because of that bullsh*t call.
