Football Friendlies Wanted, Open Age or Veterans

After yet another miserable performance to add to the pile of similar performances this season, I need a distraction and bumping this thread.

I have confirmed veterans friendlies on the Wirral in April and two in Knutsford. Sorry CT, I can't get the boys interested for a game in Chicago!

So, anybody want a game of football? :)

Well I never. A deja-vu moment!

Getting to Spring/Summer and I will be looking at putting this season long behind me as I run around a football pitch knackering myself out.

This is now the summer allegedly....anybody want a match against the veterans? We play our first friendly next week, got 3 or 4 games already lined up around the north west and Cheshire.

We got beaten in our first game 3-1 by an established veterans touring team! I thought we played good football, but were punished by 3 defensive mistakes. And we were knackered after 10 minutes.
The second game we won 3-1. It could have been 6-0! We conceeded near the end of the game. We were one on one with the keeper and nobody near him. He put it wide. Their keeper quickly took the goal kick from nowhere near the 6 yard box, kicked a rolling ball, they lumped it to the forward who sprinted and placed a shot passed the keeper. This was all within 10 seconds of the shocking miss and my lot were still on the ground laughing!
Just no focus, the horrors!

Anyway, still got a free dates all through July if anybody can get a team out? August looking busy.

GOT kick about! When's it happening? Maybe we could get in touch with Ebepton and see if we can have a cheeky go on Goodison. Say it's for charity. Boom!

My veterans played Forever Bury FC last night. They are the supporters club who go around playing all their divisional rival home and away.
We went a goal down in three minutes, but bounced back to win 6-2 in the end.
Let it be an omen!
Anyway, I'm off to watch Everton tonight at Gigg lane. Anybody else?

Do your team travel ? and if so how far ?.......... if you could get around my way i could easily arrange an over 30's game for you. Also a pitchside clubhouse and bar and posibly food too.

Hi Kurt,

It's possible, whereabouts are you? PM if you like.
