To be fair mate, the lads who organised the plane want much the same as you here. When I heard about the banner, I wasn't keen, but it's got the media talking about the issues, and the main issue is the lack of ambition from the board.

The club is run with a "make do and mend" mentality and the board seem happy plodding along as is. I doubt a few banners on planes will do any harm and, on reflection, it might just show that there's enough passion for new investors to tap into.

Yet it made BT,BBC,ITV,ESPN, the papers, sports websites. It was a great first step. Now the next major step is showing the media WHY our fans are unhappy.

Many seemed to think it was because we drew with Watford, or because we haven't spent this Summer. But they need to know the collective problems.

But BK will still be protected by the media. This piece in the Star touches on Everton fans feeling but turns it around saying that BK is a success because basically he is skint and no one wants to buy Everton

Exactly my point. The next major steps needs to be showing the media and the pro Bill fans all of his failings, and in that 16 years how every other club around us have had investment/takeovers/new grounds etc.

It's a tough task. It scares me how many fans are still on Bill's side. Had a chat with quite a few of them in the past week and everytime it's just "be careful what you wish for" "Bills a blue" "Who else do we get in"

and that is what this writer is basically saying. Its weak to the point of laughable. He is really saying 'Long live King Bill' and 'off with there heads' to the dissenters

"According to Glenn Moore ('I' reporter), Everton's performance against Southampton 'made a mockery of the pre-match aerial protest by supporters calling for chairman bill kenwright to sell up'.

The protest had little to do with on-pitch matters. Under Bill Kenwright's 16-year ownership, Everton have endured the least successful period in their long and distinguished history. A dilapidated stadium, two failed ground moves, lack of any investment. Goodison Park mortgaged to the hilt, tenants in our own training ground and the club megastore not even owned by the club.

The only assets left are the players......and the best and brightest get sold.

The only mockery is the current board's utter contempt for a large & loyal fanbase."

So the journalists are basically saying that had we lost at Southampton, then the protesting fans would have had a valid point, but as we won, they don't and instead have become people to mock. I just hope to god I'm not as crap in my job as they are in theirs.

Insulting really, that almost across the spectrum of football journalism they expect we should be so fickle and/or feeble-minded.

BK will have heard all his shortcomings over the years a banner on a back of a plane is only usefull if it spurs the team on to play like they did last time out! Also the man is recovering from illness ???
