When Swansea had a new stadium Cardiff fans ripped up and kicked the crap out of all the seats.

I really can't see Liverpool fans behaving much better when they're so bitter about it.

Too true mate, and this was my main rationale.

Sadly, you could not trust them, not to engage in acts of vandalism and violence.

I would like it to be against the RS in a charity fixture. Maybe our "legends" vs their "cultishly and wildly exaggerated wereld-class" XI.

Neville Southall simply must play some part in a game like that.

Some good causes would benefit, and the RS couldn't decline to play in a fixture like that, it would trap them.

We'd need to go full-on with Z-Cars and sirens, big pomp and ceremony, and take centre stage as the original club in Liverpool.
