First Everton match?

1993, beat Nottingham forest 3-0. Thought that was brilliant, little did I know then that's the last time I would see Everton win live until we beat man utd 3-1 in 2010. Just the 17 years stretching over at least 15 games. Kept thinking I was jinxing the team so tried to stay away as much as possible...

Earliest I can remember was v. Bolton, League Cup Semi-Final, January '77. Night match - I was 9 and my only memories are: it was dark, cold and a little bit scary. '70s football for you :)

Everton v Stoke

Goodison Park - Saturday 4 December 1971

Miserable goalless draw. And that's about all I remember (I was a young!) but looking back now at the team sheet... for us we had Kendall, Harvey, Ball, Royle and Stoke had Gordon Banks in goal. I'd love to go back and just see those players on the pitch again. :)

Everton 0 Blackpool 0 1970 aged five (with granddad). Poured down.
Still remember the amazement I felt when emerging from steps up to Upper Bullens and saw the GP pitch for the first time. Blue and tangerine jerseys. Can't recall the team, but guessing Johnny Morrissey played who became my hero.

My first game was actually that game against Wimbledon in 94. I'd been nagging my dad to take me for ages, he initially thought it was only going to be a quiet end of season game. Only young at the time, but just remember the brilliant atmosphere, and everyone running on the pitch at the end.
Buzzing for days afterwards.

March 1st 1972 home to Spurs. Dad got seats in Top Balcony hoping the height would scare me off. Sometimes down the years i wished it had worked!
