Everton v Leeds about 68/69 at Goodison , we got beat 1-0, whatever happened to Leeds?

They did a Leeds lol

I'm not sure but I think it was Sheff Wed at Goodison, we drew 2-2, they wore yellow and we wore blue (obvs).

The earliest game I can remember clearly was losing 3-5 to QPR at Goodison, they wore red and black hoops that day. It was 1-5 and we staged a half-arsed comeback.
I remember the 4-4 clearly as well but don't know which came first.

Around 1957, with my dad. Can't remember who it was against. The earliest team I can remember seeing at Goodison was Spurs around the same time.

Great time, as the RS were in Division 2...!

6 years old.

April 1970 in a 3-2 win against West Brom.

My dad smuggled me in under his coat and we were in the Upper Bullens towards the Gwlady St End level with the 18 yard line.
The image has remained in my mind ever since.

We won the league that day and I thought all Everton games were going to be like that!

I probably watched at least a couple of hundred more games until I saw us do it again.

I count myself lucky to have been there to see us win 3 titles and 3 cups.

My heart goes out to those members on here who haven't had that experience.

Back in 2013 I had to wait two weeks after I moved over to Liverpool for the year to see my first match. I remember taking the bus to walk around Goodison my first full day there as I couldn't wait to see the Old Lady in person. The wait was worth it though as I saw a great 3-2 win over those horse punchers.

One of my first posts this (I'm one of your lurkers really!),mine was Birmingham at home in 1976. We'd just signed Duncan McKenzie (not that I knew who he was at that time!)and he scored twice. I sat in the old Park End upper stand(it hadn't been given over to away fans then) with my dad and it finished 2-2,I remember Birmingham wearing a bright yellow kit and I think they scored in the first couple of minutes and later equalized in the last minute and I seem to remember Trevor Francis missed a penalty for them,so an eventful one for me to make my Goodison debut. Bingham was the manager and got sacked not long afterwards. Anyway, that was the moment I was hooked, even though we didn't win.

My first ever game was v West Ham at home in 1961-62, when my dad took me to Goodison for the first time.
My dad's now 85 and been going to watch Everton since 1936, but nowadays I take him to the match . . . My son is continuing the family tradition too.
