1984 first game of the season against spurs1-4 ,was visiting friend working in Liverpool I fancied going to a(shudder) Liverpool game but they were away(there is a god) so of to Goodson and I have been so thankful everyday since

Man Utd in 86/87, a 3-1 win with Adrian Heath scoring a boss diving header
Won me a fiver that game. That was the season Manure won their first ten games, after which I bet a Manure fan we'd be above them by Christmas. That was the game that sealed it. My first was a 0-0 home to Arsenal in 72, felt like visiting Mecca, absolutely massive.

The Classico 2010. Pink Shirts FFS. Fourth pic down and the last one with Ossie, that guy is playing in my league this year. I'll have to ask him about captaining his side against the blues. Get him all warmed up before I stick one on him.

A couple of reserve games in 1964 to test my concentration!! Then I think. A league game towards the end of the 64-65 season, probably Villa home but tbh it is a bit vague. Then first one I properly remember is actually 3rd round of cup January 1966 Sunderland at home won 3-0. On our way to Wembley!!!

Panathinaikos,1971,I was five, cannot remember a jot about the game, what I can recall is the impression Goodison left on me,the floodlights, the greenness of the pitch, our royal blue shirts and basically the majesty of a stadium lest we forget that had staged a World Cup semi final fewer than five years earlier,NSNO.

He scored an even better one against Charlton macca iirc, but yes that was a superb finish from Nevin:)

Yep I posted that last year when u mentioned it Dario, that was a beast of a goal against Charlton.

I was quite late to going to games as no one ever took me, but it's amazing about what you mention regarding a lot of it being a blur and the things that stood out were the same for me, the size and scale of Goodison, the lush pitch, being close to the players and how good the kit looked compared to TV. Quite a surreal moment going to your first game isn't it, but certainly one of the best moments and memories for us all who have been fortunate enough to go.
