Thought it might be an interesting idea for everyone to go back in time and search for their first ever post on this great forum.

Mine was on 21-06-2008 and it was in the Orlando Engelaar transfer rumour thread. I never could have envisaged that I'd have almost 7500 posts to my name a little more than 2 years later.

Hi, this is my first post on this forum. Been reading and following it for a while now and think it's an interesting place to be. I normally use the Bluekipper forum, but I think this forum is much more friendly. At Kipper I sometimes wonder, what makes Evertonians behave in such a bad way against other Evertonians. The name calling and abusing around there is awful, so I'd like to give it a try here also.

Don't think Engelaar is the answer to Everton midfield problems. Not only is he almost 29 years old, but FC Twente is also the only club he's really been a success uptil now. When he played at KRC Genk in Belgium, they couldn't wait to see the back of him. If it's not going his way he just seems to lose all interest and demoralises the team spirit. His body language during the time at Genk was awful. He just didn't seem to care about the club, its supporters or his teammates. I really do believe he'll prove to be a one season wonder and won't be a Dutch international for much longer. Also don't think he would be able to adapt to the pace of the Premiership. My advice would be to steer clear of him and just go for someone like Moutinho/Huddlestone or Fellaini (Standard Liége). But then again who am I, when Moyes decides he really wants him?

How do I search for my first post?

Might take a bit of effort. If you remember the title of the thread, just enter that title in the advanced search option. If not, first look at your join date, and try to remember in which sub forum you made your first post and what it was about. . Otherwise try to go back to as close to your join date by clicking on the pages on top of each forum. Hope that makes it a bit clearer, good luck.

As an American Everton fan I would love to see him in a Everton kit. He would defenitely solve our speed problem.

I've just tried a search but for some reason only found threads I started. One from 17 feb 2008. Think it was the weekend Barnsley knocked the rs out of the cup. I was bigging up Diego Capel of Sevilla.
