latest ticket news from fiorentina themselves.

anyone know of any reliable sources for tickets for the away leg ? found a good deal for flights & need to find somewhere that can provide tickets without having to book a trip ? working out 1/2 the price doing it myself which means i can maybe squeeze the next one out of the missus as well. according to the fiorentina website the tickets for the rosenborg fans were only 10 euro's and tickets in their sections are from 10 euro's upto 60 euro's for an 'armchair'. just learn "american tourist" in italian to avoid probs at the gate as florence is full of them, almost like having to say your a rs i know but not quite as bad !!!

don't reckon i'll get one off the club though & don't you have to get the full package off them ? missus is taking me for my 40th and its working out nearly the same price for both our flights as the daytrips & hotels seem to be quite cheap too (unless you go 5 star), lots of small hotels in the old town near the sites, the romance might get to her.....know what i mean .
and before anyone says it, no i'm not getting confused with the fa cup !!

Unless you've been to Kharkiv, Nuremberg and one out of Alkmaar or Brann then i cant see you getting a ticket.

I'm keeping an eye out Reidy so keep us informed if you find anywhere and I'll do likewise.

Looking at the attendances for previous rounds, the most have been in the 20 thousands and the ground holds over 40, so I can't see it being a gigantic problem, even through agencies.

Looking at the official club site, there appears to be one official club ticket office

(open in the weekday afternoons and on Wednesday morning)

and the following agencies in the town:

You'd think it would be a bit dodgy getting them from the official sources (but then they were selling tickets over the counter in the club shop on the match day in Nürnberg).

As far as where for, since the away section will (I assume) be reserved for official travelling parties, I guess that the main home end is the yellow bit (Curva Fiesole), the covered bit is the blue at the bottom, the red bit is another "curva", the white bit is the away section and the green bit (Maratona?) is uncovered side stands. Green looks likeliest to me off at the first glance.

Maybe one of our visiting Fiorentina friends can help with an explanation?

I'm also keeping my eye on a ticket agency in San Marino:

Hope I get a ticket didnt go to Alkmaar but went the others, so we`ll have to see.
Booked our flights a while ago £78 JLA-Pisa,hotel (sounds like a flophouse) £86 for two nights in the centre of the city. But if I dont get a ticket from Everton I cant really a problem over there.

atrottel all you wrote is right. "bar marisa" and "bar stadio" is really near to the stadium but they stop the sell of the tickets at 8pm the day of the match then you can buy it only from the official seller placed in via duprè. The away section is called settore ospiti, if you don't want to stay there (is much near to a cage than a sector) buy a ticket for maratona or tribuna (is the covered section but is more expansive) at your own risk. I don't suggest to you to buy a ticket for one of the curva if you will not dressed with purple. and remember that STIAMO ARRIVANDO (we are coming) bye

What's anybody's thoughts on sitting in with the home fans?

I should imagine those Italians are somewhat more volatile than the Germans.

Depends where you sit I suppose. I had a fallback of a ticket in the home curve at Nürnberg but they all advised me I would have to not only shut up when the Blues did anything but sing loudly for FCN if I took it (!). And the German hardcore can get pretty interesting, as they can in any country. But outside that area (where I ended up) it was fine, apart from a few funny looks. There were also plenty of Blues dotted all over the place.

despite speaking fluent Italian i don't fancy going in amongst the home supporters but will take advice from i tifosi Viola if there are specific areas where it would be okay to mix.
I would also suggest treating the beautiful city with respect, this doesnt apply to the peeps who frequent this forum but after my experiences in Bergen, there are one or two drunken wally's who will let the side down. Not by having a drink and a good time but by behaving like a n o b when they get sloshed.
Anyone who goes, if you can find a Chianti from 'Fattoria I Lami' - enjoy - my dad's family used to produce the grapes for the wine. I spent many a happy September gathering, crushing and ultimately drinking the lovely stuff!

If any tifosi Viola from S Vincenzo a Torri would like to get in touch please do.

i would've thought the more expensive seats would be a safer option than either 'curva', also think the club should try to get more tickets given that loads have travelled and gone in home sections previously, i was in the main stand in bergen and the noggies seemed to be more entertained by my over exuberance than they were annoyed, dont reckon this would apply here though, given the size of the stadium and the attendances that fiorentina have been getting i think they should try to secure more tickets, the next thing will be a do not travel notice on the club website, if they want to ensure the fans safety then get enough tickets for all who want to go, cos after all there are a lot who dont want to go and also only so many flights available from uk, as well as fans travelling from other parts of europe.....and yes the away end looks like [Poor language removed] !!!

I was in the main stand too until half time then asked a very nice policeman if we could go in the Blues end - no problem! Can't imagine the same in Florence. Lots more people will travel simply because of the draw of the city.
Hope I can get there. Just been watching the match from last night. We really did play some good stuff. Yes, a few passes went astray but we were able to split the defence at will - Pienaar! What a player - he was involved in every goal. Wonder if he would consider a Sugar Mum? I love the guy.

I hope I can get a ticket, I've been saying for years (I'm only 20 but you get the idea) that I would go the European games if we got there. I was meant to go to Brann but the flights got [Poor language removed], I'm booked to go over to Pisa a week tomorrow, I so hope I can get a ticket from somewhere.

Seems that(from an italian friend) the tickets are nominative i.e. you have to produce a valid form of i.d. to purchase 1 (i presume a uk passport is not 1 they accept), they may also have your name on them which means that they have a reason to not let you into the ground if you are not the mr. capello that has purchased the ticket for you. it's all going tits up again, maybe thats what makes it an even bigger buzz when you finally get there & into the ground.
