Absolutely mad how, literally the first game he started after this defence of him was launched , he played like that again.

The second goal tonight tells you all you need to know about Snivelley.

Barkley, Deulofeu and Bolasie are all woeful in front of goal. That much we know. That's completely unacceptable for attacking midfielders. I'd say each of them needs about 10 clear cut chances to score one goal. Nowhere near good enough. Mirallas slightly better, but still needs to improve when presented with one-on-ones. Lukaku is the only goal threat in the entire squad, and that is an absolute shambles. I'm not going to waste my breath stating why Kone, Valencia and Niasse aren't good enough.

The two we brought in the summer Valencia and Bolasie won't score many. If Bolasie gets 20 assists a season and the odd goal is it worth the money we paid? Football is mad these days players that would have been 500K in the late 90's are going for millions.

What 's this got to do with Snivelley?

Naisy showed how to do it in last nights match....

Seriously though, he was a great squad player who knew where the back of the net was. Last night he would have been starting for us, and his game would have suited Koeman's style of play. Pressing front the front, good work ethic and clinical in front of goal, something which has been mentioned before, we're short of.

Shame he went 6 months too soon, for his place in the squad to be taken by Niasse, crazy. I think Naisy would have been thinking, I'd have been playing here as well!

What ever happened to the good old fashioned toe poke?

Taking nothing away from Naraaach, they defended like they wanted it & Ruddy was well positioned & stood big etc.., but fook me, how many times did we have chance to shoot, but took another touch???

This week's training toeeys & getting shots away!

Yeah but why keep Naisy when you can sell him for 8m, then add another 5m on top of that and get the fake Russian Player of the Year Niasse and never play him? All makes perfect sense!

In all honesty, I think Naismith is crap, but a likeable guy, unlike Niasse who clearly is a bell and is worse than Naismith. Everton in being pathetic in the transfer market shocker, eh?

I would seriously start trying Funes Mori in training. He is good in the air and is big and physical. If he plays as left back for Argentina has can't be too bad with the ball at his feet although admit-ably he wasn't great last night. His shot wasn't bad, he struck it cleanly enough.

At the very least he would offer us something at corners and crosses.

We need to find a solution in case Rom gets injured.

....goal scorers grow up thinking about scoring goals, they have a picture of where the keeper is which is why the very best invariably finish just inside the post. They see every upright on their way into school as a goalpost and imagine the ball hitting the net inside of it. When faced with a goal scoring opportunity they go into a different and clinical mode and invariably they kick a ball very well.
Or if you are Jamie Vardy you put your head down and put your laces through it.

lollollollollollollollol

I hope all those people having a go at Lukaku watched last night. I said in the thread about him my big worry was if he got injured, and last night confirmed it. We desperately need a striker in January.
That's about the only positive of the game.

It will shut the Lukaku haters up.

....yep, there is that way and he gets his quota. I remember somebody saying to me, "when a proper goal scorer is in on goal you are confident they will score. When others are in on goal you hope they score". Vardy blasts a few high and wide but his pace gets him into goal scoring positions, I suspect he's in the 'hope they score" category.

But he keeps getting chances and that's the main thing. Eventually he scores.
