That's right Chico, it is Kirkby stemming from the Viking word Kirk meaning Church.

Going to a new stadium is always a bit of a gamble, unfortunately one can see from the report we had very little choice. I think LCC screwed us and when Walton area goes even more down the pan because top games will only every 14 days, perhaps LCC will realise how they [Poor language removed] up. What I would like to know is, if Stanley Park can be used, why can't Wally Hall Park just up the way from GP.

As to Tesco, is that right they will own the stadium for which we have to pay rent??? If so why are we contributing to construction costs???

thought tesco had no money in our stadium.

tesco being on board because kirkby council will allow the development if the football comes with it, so its good for them (LAND) and its good for us (LAND at ''peppercorn rent'' + reduced building costs)

the inbRedS site on stanley park is costing them rent, a real and rising number year on year - they wont own that land. whereas we have the lease of the kirkby land for 999 years or some other number equally bizarre.

Everton football club will own the kirkby stadium, anyone telling you otherwise is a filthy lying scum sucker.

The Sir Suits of Blue has spoken fact.

Nice one buddy. (y)

Frankly LCC have never wanted 2 teams in this city, it's a strain on their services and getting rid of the 'lesser' side is probably for the best in their opinion.

I've flip flopped as to what I wanted for Everton, from being set to go and then against it. Now however after seeing the plans and reading this I am for this move 100%. I feel that Everton will flourish at this new ground and finally be rid of the monkey that sits on our shoulder (LFC).

Above all I want a move to this ground so that I can get away from LFC. To prove that Everton are once and for all going places, while LFC stagnate in a ground that is getting old and with no means to move.

I was watching the Stoke v Toons last night. I noticed that there ground has no restricted views and this was Stoke. I have noticed many times that a lot of clubs lower down also have unrestricted views and yet there people who would rather soldier on wigh GP. Strange.

Shows how much we have been left behind, even Analfield has unrestricted views and how old is that ground?
