All down to Sky here, the club is surely as powerless as all the fans.

Very much like what West Ham went through closing down Upton Park. If I recall, they got their final game stuck on the Monday night pretty close to the last minute.
Not at all. The club doesn't get a pass in this. They could easily publicly call Sky and the PL out on behalf of the fans (aka their core coustmers) but they chose to remain silent and thus complicit in it all.

The precedence was set for West Hams final home game on a Monday night so it's a high probability for this too

Seem to recall West Ham's last name was initially meant to be Swansea, but because United progressed in the FA Cup, their game with West Ham was rescheduled and became the last game, which was a Tuesday and not a Monday.

Sky will be loving the free publicity this dead rubber match is getting. The longer it goes on the less surprised I'll be to see it moved to Monday night.
It's not necessarily got to be Sky though, has it? There's also TNT and Prime although, I imagine, Sky have the overriding control over choice of PL games leaving the other two to fight over the scraps.

Prime can't show it.

TNT will have the 12pm slot i would have thought. Sadly there are some pretty important games in wk 37 for CL spots.

West Ham v Forest
Arsenal V Newcastle
City v Bournemouth
Villa v Spurs
Chelsea v Utd

2 will drop out due to the Cup final. I can't see anyway that Sky would put our game at prime time (4.30pm) over Arsenal v Newcastle or Chelsea v Utd (unless Chelsea or Newcastle collapse)

This is p***ing me off. I'm a season ticket holder and after 59 years of going to Goodison I am flying back from Spain for what will be a very emotional moment for me. I have booked flights, hotel etc and there's a chance the game might be moved with very little notice.

Blame the club mate. They were the ones that wanted the game moving. We should have been at home last game and everyone would have known it would have been a 4pm kick off.

The club wanted it to be on Tv and not over shadowed by all other games on the last day.

Given our last week panics in previous years the club were almost certainly trying to avoid a Sky drama dream of leave Goodison/ leave Premier League double on the day!
