Is there anyone on here good at ultimate team? Always been decent at it, usually a division 1 or 2 player, but have never managed to get to grips with this one.

Seems like everyone utilises a ludicrously aggressive, high pressing game and has Butland in goal who appears to be about 15 feet tall, with the reactions of a supercomputer. My main issue is that their centre backs seem to nip in and steal any forward pass I make whilst mine just stand still and watch Martial and Rashford sprint past them.

My PSN name is the same as my name here. But I'm 6 hours behind most of you (US Central time zone) and I usually play at night so you may never see me on.

I suppose that's the difference between FIFA and real life. You have to press like crazy because if you sit back in a normal defensive posture, you'll only have time for 2 or 3 attacks in a half.

Yeah. The disconnect between really football is huge. Shame EA don't seem to care about improving the gameplay, so long as the money keeps coming in. The content and presentation is top notch but it's just not a good football game.

You filthy boy.

The trick is to do what I did and get one to watch Pogba in a pack.

The game is much better when you have all of the best players lol.

Thing is I usually find the better my team the more I seem to suck. There's definitely a handicap thing. Ever faced a silver or bronze team with a gold one? Suddenly their crap midfielders can ping it in the top bin from 40 yards.

Apparently having a bronze bench helps? Never tried it myself.

I find that on this FIFA the game decides pre-match who is going to win. It always seems to go all for/against you.. Strange really

I play the game one day in the week (Friday) with my mate. We've started fut somewhere half January; now we're division 5 - so we're probably bang average.

I've noticed that the amount of DMC's you have makes a bigger difference than the amount of defenders - the dmc's are very good in sniffing out balls through the centre. So we adjust the tactics accordingly- either two dmc's or two strikers. Most of the time we just play a diamond. From here on we just mostly counter. The thing is it's extremely annoying to play against such a tactic so most of the time there are huge gaps where the backs are supposed to be. So pull them out of position, long ball to your wingers (have to be fast ofc). It's quite boring to play this formation though; most of the time you have like 70 percent of the ball and the occasional opponent who shouts insults (meh). Also because of the high pressing game; they start to tire quite fast.

Also Butland; I mostly aim shots close to his body for some reason he mostly misses those.

It's not the gameplay, it's just the reality of a 5 or 6 minute half. Unless you want to commit to every match lasting an hour, you have to play a ridiculous tempo. I play 9 minute halves (so 1/5 the time of a normal game) and I still feel like I'm rushing things.
