Finally had a go on this. Only played one game so far but feels very similar to the last one which is not much of a surprise. Shooting seems much easier (I beat Barca 8-1 with Real, all shots on target went in). As it was the opening game though I assume it was on Semi Pro and given it is so similar to the last one it's not a huge shock to dominate the computer. Defending still seems a bit hit and miss too.

Will have a few more games to get a better idea as you can't tell much off one game on an easy setting. May give footy games a miss this year though or just get Pro Evo if they sort out the option file.

Have you played this years Pro Evo mate?

Pretty bad. Well the demo was.

If you're on PS4 the option file shiz is in place this year. No such luck for Xbox one.

I have played it and I think the main thing for me is that it is something different. I was always ISS/Pro Evo through PS1 and PS2 but then the series was ruined once it moved to the PS3 era. I feel like it is getting back to something close to those games now, although I still don't enjoy it the way I did then.

FIFA for me has barely changed in quite a few years now and as I spend less time playing footy games it doesn't offer me enough. Whereas with Pro Evo, while far from perfect, I do have fun playing it. I've lost that with FIFA.

I mentioned the option files, which when I was younger didn't make the slightest difference to me. Now I want to play footy games more casually and I enjoy playing as Everton with our proper kit etc. Silly I know but it does make a difference.

I agree. I played the demo last week and the physics engine is just so weird! To be fair, I am used to the physics in FIFA, so maybe it was a matter of being accustomed to FIFA. I hated how the players moved; seems very robotic for a game that concentrates on looking good (graphics-wise) in the cut scenes and intros and stuff like that. I have some Dutch friends that swear by PES, but I, personally, hate it.
