Draw 0-0 with Zenit at home and beat them 2-0 away, which I'm quite happy with. Beat Etienne 3-1 at their gaff and somehow managed to beat Barca 1-0. Leigh Griffiths got the winner in that one ;)

Not sure whether to rest players now in the next two games or to go all out and try to win the group. Thankfully, the squad players are generally quite good, so I can trust them in the League and Scottish Cup

Not bad mate, what difficulty do you play on? I'm on Pro at the moment, tempted to try World Class as I've beaten Liverpool 4-2 at Anfield, and Chelsea 4-1 at Goodison - although I've had a few slip ups, 0-0 away at Burnley and lost 3-1 to Sunderland.

Been spending more time on my player career this week. Finished second season with new Budesliga champs, 1860 Munich. Hooray. Avatar is now an 86, reigning BL player of the year and golden boot winner (connection was down, so no EA level points for 'em) worth north of $40m US, and still only getting paid $7,000 per week.

Love how on managerial mode you can negotiate with players who want out, offer them cash and they might stay. But on player mode, either I stick with being horribly underpaid or force my way out of the club. No grey area. (And no way to send the club "feelers" on my morale, either.) And seemingly now way to run out a contract and entertain offers from anyone.

So $7k per week, or join FC Moneybags Oligarch Fantasy Squad United...

As I manage Everton on the other mode, don't want to go to the BPL, won't go from 60 to Bayern... won't do RM or Barca.

I'm putting the over/under at 8.5 offseason replays before I receive an offer from a club I wouldn't mind playing for.

I did the same thing before I finally got an odd offer from Wolfsburg. Turned out to be an incredibly fun and talented team to play with.
 

I'm usually quite good at defending but this thing from kick off where the attacker just waltzes through my whole team before slotting is driving me insane! Anyone got any good tips how to stop it?

Tackling them?

Its about pressure, L1 calls players over when defending so you crowd them out, either that or first chance to slide tackle and bring him down.

Ther eis also an easier defending option called legacy defending in the options which makes it revert back to dfending of old.

A high pressing game works for me usually

If you want, you can change the controls to "Legacy Defending"

With that, if you push the "pass" button when you don't have the ball, your player will charge in the direction of where the ball is

However, it works just as well on Tactical Defending. You just need to have precision in your pressing and also use the tactic that @Ashtonian mentioned and press the shoulder button so your AI defenders crowd out the player

It can honestly work against any side

I did it with Celtic and beat Barcelona 3-2 at the Camp Nou, so that should be proof that it works

Cheers chaps much appreciated. I can only use tactical defending on Ultimate Team and have no problems throughout the game, it's just that kick off thing! Had no idea about the L1 tactic so nice one!

I usually struggle with it too, so I just do it to them now and it always works for me lol

Now on FUT, I just play 4-1-4-1, park the bus, counter attack and give the ball to Falcao who just walks through everyones defence
