Has anyone been playing on the career mode where you are a player and don't manage the team?

I have been playing it, I started out with a 66 average as a Striker, Moyes sent me on loan to Aldershot for a year, I have improved and come back with a 77. I like it though because it gives you specific targets to hit to increase your ability, its not random, like the growth of players in Manager mode.

The only bad thing is seeing the best players at the club sold off and you cant do anything about it! :) I am in the Second season now and the club sold; Jelevic, Baines and then Fellaini (on deadline day to Arsenal!) They all went really cheaply as well. Some might say its far too realistic! They managed to replace Baines with Mathieu Debauchy and tried to sign Claudio Marchisio from Juventus, but could'nt get him

Actually might give that a go.

Do you do it just playing as the one guy or as the whole team?

Like the idea of building a career.

I mean in terms of general first touches mate, Osman/Pienaar continually takes bad touches, and if you go Spurs/Arsenal/Newcastle you always seem able to create more chances even though they're the same star rating. Mirallas and Baines seem the only players with an ounce of pace too.

You can either just play as one guy or as the whole team, it gives you the option. But if your created player isn't in the squad on a match day, you can only sim the games, you cant play.
 

really liked that be a pro mode you're talking of.

Did it before on fifa 10 I think and became the best left mid in the game, on that one i was in the reserves, then after about 10 games got to first team, then back to reserves and so on until i was about 78, then solid 1st team-er, then promoted to international u21, then international first team, and by the end i was the international captain, but not everton captain, then gave up as i was 99. Moyes still bumming Neville I assumed.
 
Why do I have to redownload the online pass every time I want to play online?


Absolute joke this year EA, almost every mode has a fault somewhere. What is this amateur hour?! Whoppers.
