Looks like Liverpool are putting more effort into the womans team than there 1st team.

They have to, because they've finished bottom of the league for the last 2 seasons running (in a league where there is no promotion or relegation, only franchises that come up for renewal every 3 years).

If they have another crap season and finish bottom again, they are in serious danger of having their franchise taken away (rugby league style) and being thrown out of the league. Hence, spending money on acquiring decent players on Bosmans from us.

As for Everton Ladies, we've finished in the top 3 last 2 seasons and are always challenging for the title and cups. However, we've recently lost our long time manager in Mo Marley, and obviously losing two key players on Bosmans too. It's a little strange we're replacing them with 2 players from a very poor LFC Ladies team. Doesn't look good business on the surface.

Liverpool Ladies have signed England midfielder Fara Williams and striker Natasha Dowie from local FA WSL rivals Everton Ladies.

Williams, 28, has 107 caps and 36 goals for her country, and netted 10 times for the Blues last season.

The former Toffees captain, regarded as one of the most gifted players the England set-up has ever produced, moves after eight years at the club.

Former Charlton striker Dowie, 24, spent five years with Everton.

Williams has been a key player for Hope Powell's Three Lions for more than a decade and was named FA Young Player of the Year in 2002, FA International Player of the Year in both 2007 and 2009, and FA Players' Player of the Year in 2009.

Where's the Williams money Bill!?
