Fernandes...

Ok my two peneth:

Fernandes is going to be a great player with the right coaching. Moyes is a great coach and a great man manager- Fernandes would flourish under Moyes.

The lad is 20 and was offered the chance of Champions League football, from what I understand the deal with us was stalling due to the 3rd party agreement, the deal from Valencia came in- he took it.

I personally dont blame him, he wasnt at the club long enough for his blood to turn blue ala Arteta, Cahill, Neville and even Pienaar.

I think he would fit into our team superbly and I for one say sign him and I would rather him turn into a great player with us than see him play against us.

The voice of reason.

When the chocolate box is first opened, you taste the Praline Truffles because they are nice, the Coffee Creams can wait until Monday.

Team talks effort. Looks like its going to happen.

Fernandes: Could be heading back to GoodisonToffees close in on Fernandes deal

Everton appear to be close to bringing Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes back to Goodison Park on loan until the end of the season.

Fernandes, currently at Valencia, was linked with a return to the club, only for manager David Moyes to be unaware of the rumours.

However, Everton's director of communications Ian Ross says talks have taken place with Valencia regarding a deal for the player.

"He is a great player and could be with us soon," Ross told Antena 1. "I think it will be until the end of the season.

"We are in talks with Valencia and tomorrow we will learn more."

Meanwhile, Slavia Prague have rejected rumours that Everton have made a bid for teenage defender Marek Suchy.

Reports claimed a 4million euros (£3million) offer had been lodged, but Slavia director Petr Dolezal refuted the speculation.

Dolezal told Sport: "We have not received any specific offer from Everton."

Who is Marek Suchy ? does anyone know anything about him?

And hang on...

Did Ian Ross balls say that. Its not his style.

Not surprised Ghost.

This is nothing more than 'Antena 1' (whoever the hell they are) doing a tribal football.

I'd be amazed if Ian Ross said anything along them lines, Keith Wyness maybe, not Ian Ross. He'd be instantly sacked for undermining Moyes? - especially if the deal fell through because of it.

Well there was a guy on the BK forum who had posted an email conversation that his mate had forwarded to him. I had to delete it just incase it was wrong and libelous. (spelling)

There is definitely smoke though.

Well maybe Ross did say something and is now backtracking. He's not known for good PR is he? Bit of a tit if you ask me.

OK fair enough, he's still gash.

Christ on a bike.

Are you one of these fans that only allow proper dogs in our team.

You know, the grafters who boot lumps outta each player.

It is alright to have someone with abit of flair in our team you know.

Yes, which is why I like Arteta and Pienaar. They have flair, but they are good players overall.

Fernandes had flair, but wasn't a good player overall for the team imo.

I am totally behind Moyes, and if he does sign him then as I said earlier, I'll want him to do well etc. But I think there are better options out there.
